We had such a "Dino-mite" week!!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will  be learning Letter Ww, wrapping up our Transportation Unit, resuming our Nursery Rhyme and Fairy Tale Unit, differentiating sizes and continuing to learn about the Life Cycle!

This Week's Focus will be on:

Shape of the Month: Rectangle

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, God made the Earth, Protecting God's Creatures, and Taking Care of Our World

April STEAM Units:  Transportation, Dinosaurs and  Life Cycle

Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Signs of SPRING, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Earth Day 

Show & Tell:  Friday, May 1st:  FREE CHOICE WEEK!!

May 4th (rain date 5/11):  PreK Walking Field Trip to the 📚Roxbury Public Library📚(Volunteers Needed)
May 22^nd: 8th Grade Tag Day: Wear Red, White and Blue  
May 22^nd: Noon Dismissal – No After School Care
May 25^th: NO SCHOOL – Memorial Day

June 1st-5th: 🌞PreK Summer Fun Week🌞 (Volunteers Needed for our Water Day)

June 12^th: 🎓PreK-3 Graduation Ceremony 10:00am🎓

Vv is for VOLCANO!!

🌋We really "LOVA" learning!!🌋

ROAR!!!!

We travelled back to a different ERA!!

We put the finishing touches on our dinosaurs!

Our Dinosaur Learning Centers were so much fun!!

👣Can you guess what dinosaur part we used to make our fossils???👣

We really loved making our own FOSSILS!!

And we really LOVED dancing to the Dinosaur Song we learned too!!

Did you know that some dinosaurs only ate plants (and veggies)?!?

We loved learning all about Vegetables!

We loved snapping Sugar Snap Peas!! We listened to the snapping sound with our ears and we found what was hiding inside!!!! It was so cool!

We loved watching Daniel Tiger's Season 2 Episode 6, "Be a Vegetable Taster!" 

(Thank you Mrs Selser for casting it for us!)

Then after washing our hands, we headed over to our table to dissect our veggies! 

Once we each had a piece of all three, it was time for our Taste Testing!!

I was so proud of our little taste testers!!

Everyone tried EVERYTHING!!!

As if on cue, look who stopped in for our Vv Fun... No other than our own Father Vic!!

He loves his veggies too!!!

Then we hit the secret ballot box to cast our vote for our favorite veggie!!

Then we GRAPHED our results 3 different ways!!!

We finished our Worlds and learned that we need to take care of our Earth and everything and everyone on it!

We did so well on our Earth day Graph!

We learned about things that help and things that hurt our World...

Then we did something very special to help our world... We planted seeds!!

Be sure to ask your little environmentalist to tell you what our seeds need to grow!!

We learned that "April showers bring May flowers!"

Our Five Day Friends did so well on their Umbrella Letter Review!

When the rain FINALLY stopped, we hit our playground RUNNING!!!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our wonderful HSA for our brand new slide!!

It is so much fun!!
