 Breaking Show and Tell News!!!

Congratulations to our newest (second time) BIG SISTER!!!!! (and her family too 💗)

Show and Tell continues to be one of our favorite things in PreK-3!

We are so proud of how far our public speaking skills have come along!

We started getting a cool craft ready for Groundhog Day... coming home soon!!

Ask your little munchkin to tell you what happens "If you give a mouse a cookie..."

Did you count how many chocolate chips were on the mouse's cookie?!?

We have been singing and dancing to such a fun Snowflake Song all month long!  Ask your little dancer to perform it for you!!!  Prompt him or her with "🎵...slip, sliding... with your left foot and your right...🎵"

Weekly Recap:  We had such a magnificent week!  Mastering our name puzzles, Munching away at Marshmallow Math, Making Memories with Melting Experiments, reading the cool  If You Give a Mouse a Cookie book, and finishing up #5 were just some of our highlights!!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week: We will be continuing to work on our Weather STEAM Unit with a focus on one of the most famous weather forecasters - The Groundhog!!! We will also be finishing up letter Mm and Starting to learn Letter Nn as well as kicking off some of our February Themes!

 VIRTUAL Parent/Teacher Conferences:  Thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with me to discuss your little one.  It was so nice to see everyone! Just a reminder that our report cards will be available through your Parent Portal in the upcoming weeks, once the Main School's Second Marking Period ends.  Should you have any difficulty accessing your account, please reach out to the Main Office for assistance.  

Catholic Schools Week:

Please check the "Friday Folder" on our School Website regarding themed days.  (Ex: Monday - wear blue to support The Troopers United Foundation; Wednesday - donations for the Roxbury Social Services; Thursday - wear red, white and blue with donations going to the Wounded Warrior Project, etc.)

Valentine's Day: We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in PreK-3 on Monday, February 14th. We will be exchanging Valentine's Day Cards in school.  Please send in one card per child with only your own child's name on each as the from whom the card is and not the name for whom it is intended.  This will make distribution much easier as the children are only just beginning to recognize each other's names.  We have 12 children in our class.  The children can either make their own little cards or they may be purchased.  That is entirely up to you.  Please do not send in Valentines with food or candy as we have children with allergies in our school.  Your children may begin to bring in their cards whenever they are ready up through our celebration day on the 14th.  This little homework idea is completely optional: you may want to take this opportunity to have your child write their first initial (or full name if they are able to) on each of their cards and then finish the rest of their name for him/her.

Show & Tell:  Friday, February 4th  - FREE CHOICE WEEK AGAIN!!!  Please bring in ONE thing to Show and Tell our friends about.

Show and Tell continues to be a HUGE HIT!!

This week seemed to be career week...

We continued to decorate our classroom winter wonderland with our amazing snowmen!  We made them look up to the sky at all the falling snowflakes... ask your little snowperson to demonstrate for you!

(Sneaking in some fine motor development is sooooo much fun!!)

Weekly Recap:  We had a short but very productive week!  We continued working on our letter recognition, loved the enormous responsibility of using a pair of scissors in PreK-3 for the first time, met Moose and went on a loose tooth adventure with him and continued to learn about Winter!  And we MASTERED OUR AMAZING DANCE MOVES TOO!!!  Be sure to ask your munchkin all about it!!
