Weekly Recap:
We had such a blast this week wrapping up our Apple Unit, reading really funny storybooks, learning a Bluebird Nursery Rhyme and Game, celebrating Birthdays, learning about Buses, learning about Bears, going on a Bear Hunt and making Binoculars to learn about our sense of sight!
A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:
This week we will be learning Letter Cc, working on Number 2, starting to learn about triangles and using our sense of hearing!!
Class Books: 📖We have published our First Class Book of the year, PreK-3 Has Good Taste!! We will be circulating our books to all of our families throughout the school year. Each school day one child will take home our special book in our Class Book Bag. We ask that you enjoy it for the evening and return the book and bag the next time your child comes to school. Once our class book has had a turn in everyone's home, we will keep it in our Classroom Library for the children to read and enjoy in school. We hope you enjoy all of our masterpieces this school year!
🌹⛪🎕St. Therese Day🎕:
Our School Wide Feast of Saint Therese Walk-a-Thon is on Thursday, October 1st. Please dress your child in comfortable shoes and remember to pack their leak and spill proof water bottle! (We will walk for a lap or two or as long as our little legs allow us, and then we will cheer on our fellow STS students from the curb as they continue to walk.)
Scholastic Book Fair:
October 7th and 8th
Our class has not been assigned a day or time to shop yet but I will let you know as soon as I find out. If you would like your child to shop with their classmates, we will take your little reader to the book fair with any other children who are buying books. Children who will not be buying books will remain in the classroom with either Mrs. Selser or myself while the other teacher brings our shoppers to the fair. You will also have the opportunity to shop with your child. Please check your Parent Square Account on or after Monday for additional information.

October 7th and 8th K-8th Parent Teacher Conferences:
Our PreK Parent Teacher Conferences will take place in January. These days are NOON Dismissals for the BIG SCHOOL. PreK will be in session for a regular school day with a 2:30 dismissal for our Full Day Students. Noon Dismissal Families, please note that our Noon Dismissal will be much busier on these days as the entire school will also be dismissing and parishioners will also be arriving for Noon Mass. If you will be taking your Full Day Student home at noon on these days, please send me a note so I can have them packed and ready. You will need to sign them out during our Noon Dismissal Carline. I will have a Sign Out Sheet with me so you will not need to go to the Main Office to do so on those days. Thank you for your anticipated patience and cooperation.

We did so well wrapping up Letter Aa!
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Small for coming in to make a special apple cooking activity with our class!! It was so fun!! And SO DELICIOUS!!
We followed a RECIPE!!
We cut off the crusts!
We spread applesauce!
We sprinkled on some cinnamon!
We used all of our senses!!
Then we rolled!!!!!!!
And then came our favorite part...
We TASTED our masterpieces!!!

We had so much fun!!
We did so well on our Apple Farm Scholastic Magazine!!
We had so much fun pretending it was our Birthday!!
Did you know that all of our friends are 3 Years Old?!?
We continued to learn about the Season of Fall and even wrote the word "Fall" on our Tree Tags!!!
We learned the Number 1!
We practiced writing vertical lines in our Handwriting Books too!
Our Five Day Friends loved learning about Buses this week!!
We did so well sorting Big B and Little b buses!!
Then we sorted our Bb passengers onto our Buses!!
It is official! Our friends are Published AUTHORS and ILLUSTRATORS!!!
They had so much fun presenting their masterpieces on their book tour!
We learned about Being Good Friends to each other and Being Good Friends of God in Religion this week.
We learned that Father Duliber is a friend of God too!
He stopped by with The Blessed Sacrament and Blessed our sweet friends.
We did YOGA this week!!!
We DANCED!!
We played Learning Board Games too!
We loved playing a "Bluebird, Bluebird" Nursery Rhyme Game!
And after reading a really funny storybook, we made our own Bluebirds!
We learned about a different bird too!!
It is nocturnal!

We read an adorable storybook called "Owl By Myself."
And then we discussed things we can all do "Owl By Ourselves" too!!!
We especially loved working "owl by ourselves" to add fingerprint eyeballs onto our masterpieces!!
Our masterpieces are now on display in The Learning Center Hallway Gallery!
PreK-4 made the leaves and PreK-3 made the Owls!

We had so much fun reading and dramatizing "We're Going on a Bear Hunt!"
Then we learned about our Sense of Sight and made our own Binoculars!!
Then we took our binoculars and hit the great outdoors to go on our very own BEAR HUNT!!!!!
Guess what we found?!?!?!
It was so exciting!!!
Then we came back inside to sing, dance and read to our Teddy Bears!
After so much fun with our Teddy Bears, they needed a little hibernation...
We learned so many cool bear facts and then made our own Bear Craft!
It was a "beary" fun day!!
