Week of September 14, 2026

💗🥰Our PreK-3 Friends are the BEST!!!🥰💗 

Weekly Recap:  

We had a great first week of school!  We loved learning about ourselves and all about our new friends!  We had so much fun with our  CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM Unit and discovered that each of  our names start with a special letter!  We also worked on the color yellow and learned Number 0!!  Be sure to ask your little mathematician to show you ZERO fingers on their hands!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:

This week we will be continuing to work on our "All About Me" (and each other) Unit!  We will also start learning Letter Aa, learn all about circles and start our APPLE STEAM Unit as well as our Five Senses Unit!!

Please LABEL EVERYTHING that belongs to your little one, including jackets, water bottles and  lunchboxes.  It is very difficult for us to keep track of what belongs to whom especially when children have identical belongings.

Potty Training:  Please be reminded that your child should NOT be in a diaper or pull-up in school.   If they have an accident while in school, we will help them with wet accidents but will need to have you come in to school help them with bowel movement accidents.  

Absentees:  Please notify the School Nurse if your child will be absent from school.  You may either call or email.  There is also a link on the school website. If you choose to email please cc me as well.

Color of the month: Yellow
Shape of the month: Circle
September Units: All About Me and Each Other, Making Friends, Apples, The Five Senses
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals

Show and Tell:  Friday, September 18th-  FREE CHOICE WEEK  Please bring in ONE ITEM that your child would like to show and tell their friends about.   ***PLEASE LABEL  WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME or Initials***

Dates to Remember:

October 9th and 12th: NO SCHOOL - Teacher Professional Day & Columbus Day

October 14th (Rain date 10/16):  🍂Fall Fun Day🍂 (Volunteers needed.  Details coming soon...)

October 16th:  🚒🔥Roxbury Fire Fighter Visit🔥🚒

October 30th at 11:30am: PRESCHOOL Halloween Parade🎃 (Stay tuned for more information!)

December 11th at 10:00am:  SAVE THE DATE:  PreK-3 and PreK-4 Combined Christmas Show

We have been busy making friends!

We had so much fun playing inside!

And we had SO MUCH FUN playing OUTSIDE too!!!!!

We LOVED reading, singing and acting out CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM!!

We did so well decorating our own letters and LOVED using our letter stickers too!!

Using cubes to fill our letters was so cool too!

Our Five Day Friends did so well making their own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Trees!!

School Item BINGO was such a fun game!!

We did so well on our School Item Search and Find too!!

We went on a YELLOW Scavenger Hunt!!!

We worked on our Gross Motor Skills with some Minion YOGA too!!

We talked about our Favorite Colors while working on our All About Me and Each Other Unit!

We drew a picture of ourselves!

We loved looking in the mirror and seeing what color our hair is!

Then we made our hair on our special page...

(Don't ask too many questions... a special surprise is in the making!)

WE DANCED!!! (a lot!)

We read LOTS of BOOKS!!

We prayed and ate together.

We learned Number Zero!

We thanked GOD for our new friends!

We worked on calming activities after rest time...

I am so impressed with how well they were made and especially impressed by how well they were presented!!!!!
