These Gingerbread Cookies didn't run fast enough for us!!

It was so fun to take a bite of our Gingerbread Cookies and graph what we ate first!

Thumbs up for the yummy cookies!

Painting our own cookies was so cool too!

We are Patterning Pros in PreK-3!

Learning about Jellyfish was so cool!

We love playing with our classroom toys!

Can you guess what our new FAVORITE PreK toy is?!?  Ask your little one to tell you!  Hint, Hint: It starts with the letter Jj.

Weekly Recap:  I can't believe that this class loves something more than glitter!  It's our Jack-in-the-Box!!!!  They were all completely mesmerized and it never lost its excitement... not even after the twentieth time playing it!  If you're still looking for Christmas gifts, this one would be a sure hit!  There's something to be said about the oldie but goodie classics!

We had so much fun learning about jaguars and jellyfish as we worked on letter Jj.  Our Gingerbread Unit is off to a fun start as well.  We loved our Gingerbread cookies!!  We worked on number four, counting and patterning as well.  We also LOVED seeing Maddox and singing him "Happy Birthday!"  He's our first 4 in PreK-3!!  Hope you had a Happy Birthday my little sweetheart!!!

Week of December 7, 2020

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" in PreK-3!
 How exciting!!!!

Our beautiful angels are now on display in the Learning Center Hallway Gallery.  Our PreK-4 friends are making stars to add to this beautiful display too!  Be sure to look closely at our angelic faces!

We learned whose birthday Christmas actually is!
Be sure to ask your little one to tell you all about it.

Decorating our classroom Christmas Tree was so much fun!  We especially like to turn off the classroom lights to look at our Christmas Tree lights!

Christmas Centers are so cool!

We made 3D stars with lots of glitter!!!  They are still drying in our room.
Once they are ready, we are going to hang them from the ceiling!!

Learning about igloos was so interesting and making our own was so much fun!
Be sure to ask your little builder what real igloo bricks are made of... you may be surprised!!

Our Winter Trees are now on display in our PreK-3 Gallery!
The white glitter makes them look so sparkly and snowy!

We have a new color play dough this month - ask your little sculptor to tell you what color it is!

Weekly Recap:  Wow, have we been trying to be so kind!  Our gifts of kindness box is really filling up quickly!  Thank you for participating at home as well.  Please keep the slips coming throughout the Advent season!
We learned something new about our little angels this week... THEY ALL  LOVE GLITTER!!!!!  (They had no idea that we were working on their fine motor development as they glittered the days away!)
We had fun learning letter Ii and cool facts about insects, iguanas and igloos!  And as if on cue, Mother Nature made it SNOW for us right before we made our Winter Trees!!!  We ran outside to see and feel the magic!!!  (Sorry... I was too excited to remember to take photos. It was a truly magical moment!)

A Sneak Peak at Our Upcoming Week:  This upcoming week is going to be equally messy and fun as last week!  Be sure to ask your little artist all about his/her mystery stains on their clothes and hands.  We do our best to clean up after all our fun, but some things are a little harder to remove than others so please continue to dress your child in washable play clothes during our regular school days, especially this week...  We will be reading lots of Christmas books, practicing our songs, learning different versions of The Gingerbread Man, working on letter Jj and number 4 among many other things!

Gifts of Kindness  Thank you for helping our class gift Baby Jesus with your children's kindness.  They are all very excited to use their kind and caring words and acts to help celebrate the Advent Season.
