Week of November 1, 2021

Our Halloween Party was SO MUCH FUN!!

Weekly Recap:  We had such a "Spooktacular" week in PreK-3!!!  We loved exploring our class pumpkin before carving it together.  Our little pumpkins just loved feeling and pulling out all the pumpkin innards!!  Spiders were so creepy to learn about but we really LOVED wearing our spider hats!  Hope our PreK-3 families didn't get too scared seeing their little creepy crawlers walking through their homes!!

Our Halloween Party was so much fun!  Thank you so much to everyone for donating goodies for our awesome goodie bags.  And a great BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Selser and Mrs. O'Brien for all their hard work putting together a wonderful party and organizing our goodie bags too!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week: We will be wrapping up our Five Senses Unit as well as beginning some of our November Themes this week.  Letter Ff will be our focus as well as continuing to review letters Aa-Ee. 

Christmas in PreK:  SAVE THE DATE!!!  We are planning on having our little Christmas Show on December 10th at 5:00pm.  If our Halloween audience is any indication of our audience for Christmas, we will have lots of loved ones to sing for!!!  The festivities will be outdoors and will be a "BYOC" - "Bring Your Own Chair!" performance.  More details coming home through your child's folder this week.

November Themes:  Signs of Fall, Counting 0-3, Sorting, AB Patterns, Pumpkin Science, Thanksgiving, Families, Sharing
Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Thankfulness, "My Family Cares For Me" and "All Saints Day"

Show & Tell:  On Friday, November 5th, please bring in something that starts with the "F" sound (family photo, friend's photo, fox, frog, fish, fruit, fire truck, fire fighter, "funny" joke, etc.)  to show and tell our friends about.  If you have a hard time finding something, you can always send in a print out of a picture.  The children really do look forward to sharing their items with one another!

November 24th: TAG DAY:  Wear Your FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM DAY

Week of October 25, 2021

FALL FUN DAY WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!


Fun for the animals and fun for the children and grownups too!!!!



We loved picking pumpkins in our pumpkin patch!






Feeding and petting the animals was so exciting!!




Yard games and crafts were so much fun too!



We have some master builders in our room!!!




Cookie counting games were so cool!  Ask your little mathematician to tell you all about the funny cow book that we read this week and what the cow LOVED to eat!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  WE HAD SO MUCH FUN GETTING MESSY WHILE EXPLORING OUR SENSE OF TOUCH!!!!


Everyone in our PreK program contributed to making our AMAZING PRE-K SCARECROW during Fall Fun Day!  Our class stuffed his shirt!!


Weekly Recap:  Fall Fun Day was so much fun!  A big shout out to Mrs. Reed for organizing such a successful day and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of our amazing parent volunteers who went above and beyond their volunteer posts to ensure that all the children had a great time!  

A sneak peek at our upcoming week:  We will be wrapping up Letter Ee, the sense of touch as well as HALLOWEEN and the rest of our October themes!  We are going to be BUSY!!!

Halloween falls on a Sunday this year so we will celebrate it on Friday, October 29th in PreK.  Please refer to the information that came home with all the specific information for the day.  Lets all keep our fingers crossed for a nice day.  Unless it is POURING, we plan on parading!  Please bring your umbrellas just in case...

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in January for PreK and K. Please disregard any communications from the office regarding conferences in November as they do not pertain to our class.  Also, even though the rest of the school will have noon dismissals on those days in November, PreK will be in session full day.

PIZZA FRIDAYS for Full Day Students:  Please remember that order forms can be found on the school website in the Friday Folder.  There are three Fridays in November and orders are due soon.
