Week of November 26, 2018

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We will be hitting the ground running this week with so much to get done before Christmas!  We will be doing lots of practicing of our Christmas Show songs to get ready for our Show on December 14th.  If you hear some beautiful singing and humming at home, please encourage it even if it is about two red apples, five pumpkins or fat turkeys!

PreK-3 Christmas Show 9:00 - Children arrive in the Church at 8:50 and are dismissed to their parents immediately following the show.  Light refreshments will be served during a small reception immediately following the performance.  Children should dress in their Holiday clothes.

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be in January.  More information will be coming home through the folders in the upcoming weeks.

Number of the Month: 3

Color of the Month:  Brown

Shape of the Month:  Square

Themes:  Counting 0-3, Sorting, AB Patterns, Acts of Kindness, Feelings,  Hibernation

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, "Jesus is Born," Advent

Show & Tell:  Please bring something that begins with the letter H sound to show and tell our friends about, ex: hippo, horse, something that makes you Happy, hamburger, hot dog, heart, house, hand, hat, hose, horn, harmonica, hen, hammer, a hero, etc.

Thanksgiving Week

I hope everyone enjoyed their FIRST SNOW DAY!!  I can't wait to hear all about it from your little snow angels on Monday!

This week we will continue to learn about Thanksgiving and all that we have to be grateful for.  On a personal note, I'd like to thank you all for sharing your sweet children with Mrs. Matthews and myself.  We feel so blessed to have you trust us with their care and must tell you how much we adore each and every one of your adorable little pumpkins!  I'd also like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my transition back into teaching after taking so many years off to raise my family such a smooth and rewarding experience.  I truly feel grateful and blessed.

We wish you all a wonderful and bountiful Thanksgiving!

Show & Tell:  On Wednesday, November 21st, please bring in something you are grateful for or something Thanksgiving related to show and tell our friends about.  (Remember, it can always be a picture or print out of something if you can't physically bring in the object.)

School is closed today, November 16, 2018, due to weather and road conditions.

Delayed Opening for 11/16/18

I hope everyone received the Delayed Opening notification this evening for Friday, November 16th.  It is a two hour delay, so Pre-K will begin at 10:15.  The morning session will dismiss at our regular dismissal time of 12:00 and the full day session will dismiss at the regular dismissal time of 2:30.  Please be safe on the roads in the morning as icy conditions are predicted.

Even though it was a short week, it was packed full of fun and learning!  I hope your children are sharing lots of information about their exciting days at St Therese!

Our PreK-3 Christmas Show will be here before we know it.  We have a confirmed date of Friday, December 14th.  Our show will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 in the Multi-Purpose Room in the Church.  We are working hard to learn our new songs and can't wait to perform them for you!

Week of November 5, 2018

Halloween was so much fun!  A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our two wonderful class parents, Mrs. Mulvihill and Mrs. Gordon, for such a fabulous Halloween Party.  We all had so much fun participating in all the activities they planned for the children!  Thank you to all of the families who so patiently waited for us to parade through the big school before heading outside to parade for you.  We hope you enjoyed our little Fall Performance even though some "stage  fright" set in.  Let's all keep our fingers crossed that everyone sings during the Christmas Show!
