Week of October 1, 2018

We had another fun filled week of learning this week.  The children loved spending the day with their teddy bears on Show and Tell Friday.  We had fun going on our "bear hunt" and using our binoculars to explore our sense of sight.
This upcoming week we will have a visit from the Roxbury Fire Department and will spend some time learning about fire safety.  We will also begin learning about letter Cc and continue exploring the signs of Fall.
We are looking for 3 additional volunteers to our room parents for our Fall Fun Day.  Please note that the date is tentatively set for October 19th but may have to be postponed to the following week due to farm availability.  I will let you know the exact date as soon as it is confirmed.  Thank you for your flexibility.  We are collecting $14 per student for the expense of the farm animal visit as well as a pumpkin for each student.  Please return your payment with your child's name by Friday, October 12th.

Week of September 24, 2018

We had a wonderful second week of school.  The children are really settling in to our classroom routines and are developing sweet friendships.  They were such good listeners when their classmates presented their All About Me books.  I was so proud of each of them!  They also all smiled ear to ear for our school photos.  I can't wait to see them!

Next week we will have a visit from The Roxbury Fire Department with their amazing fire truck to teach us all about fire safety.  It should be lots of fun!  It is so important for children to feel safe and comfortable around fire fighters when they have all their gear on and our local fire department does such a wonderful job achieving this goal with our little ones.

This Week's Focus will be on:
Letter of the Week: Bb
Number: 1
Color: yellow
Shape: circle
Themes: Fire Safety, Sense of Sight, Signs of Fall
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, God loves us ALL

Dates to Remember:

Looking Forward to a GREAT First Week!

It was so nice to meet all the Preschool children and families this week.  We are so excited for school to begin on Monday morning!  Mrs. Matthews and I will greet all of the children at the front door to the Learning Center at 8:15.  To make your good byes easier on both the parents and the children, we ask that you keep the drop off quick and happy.  If your child senses that you are worried, they will be worried too.  Keep a smile on your face, give your child a hug and kiss and say a quick "Good Bye."  We will bring the children into our classroom and let all the fun-filled preschool magic begin! We have so many fun activities planned to make your child's day fly by.  Before you know it, it will  be time for the 12:00 and 2:30 pick-ups!

We had so much fun on our Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt!    ( Thank you Mrs. K for sharing this photo with us!) A Sneak Peek at Our Upcomin...
