Week of April 27, 2020

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all staying healthy and safe during these challenging times.

Thank you for all of your hard work keeping your child engaged in our school work.  I know it can't be easy while you juggle so much on the home front.  I am very happy to say that so far we have covered most of the material we would have covered if we were actually physically in school.  We are doing things a bit differently, but achieving the same end goals nonetheless, and this is entirely due to your efforts!

I hope your child had fun and learned some new things last week.  Thank you so much for sharing your photos and feedback with me.  It really means so much to me to have such a supportive group of families in our class!

This week we will be exploring the letter UuU won't believe the fun we have in store for Us!!!

I will continue to supply lessons on a five day plan for everyone and will send out the lessons for the next day on the day before so that you can work with your child whenever it is most convenient for your family.

I am also in the middle of preparing our Learning Kits for the first two weeks of May.  I am hoping to have everything in the tubs out in front of the Learning Center by Friday but am still waiting on a few things to arrive in the mail from Amazon and Target that we will be needing for our lessons before putting everything out.  I will email you once I have everything ready to go.  Thank you for your patience.

Stay safe,
Paula Dobres

Week of April 20, 2020

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a Blessed Easter and relaxing Spring Break!

Your curbside orders packed with learning fun will be available after 2:00 pm this afternoon (4/17).

I will leave two gray tubs outside the Learning Center entrance.  Please look on the lids for a small pink piece of paper with the children's names whose bags are in that particular tub.  All the bags are labeled with the individual children's names as some of the materials inside are personalized.

I disinfected all the bags before placing the supplies inside.  But please take all necessary precautions for your family's safety.  Please take turns getting your supplies to ensure social distancing protocols if someone else is retrieving their bags when you arrive.

When closing the tub, please be sure that the lid snaps into place on both sides as we are supposed to be getting some bad storms moving through and we wouldn't want anyone's goodies to get wet.

Looking forward to two more weeks for learning fun with your little one, we will be finishing up our theme on Transportation, working on Letters T and U, Number 8, Earth Day, Planting, and Celebrating LEO's BIRTHDAY!!!! among other things!  I will email Monday's lessons on Sunday and will continue to teach on a five day session for all of our little munchkins.

Governor  Murphy has extended school closures until May 15th for now, so I will start preparing the lessons and supplies for the beginning of May right away in order to have them ready for pick up as soon as we are finished with this batch.  Thank you again for your continued support!

Fondly,
Paula Dobres

Week of April 6, 2020 - Easter Fun

I am so proud of how well everyone did on last week's Ss lessons!  Thank you so much for  all of the adorable photos and all of your kind words of encouragement!

This week, we will be preparing for Easter.  I will be sending emails with all the lessons, directions and video links.  I will send the email the day prior to the lesson.  I will be sending lessons for Monday, Tuesday  and Wednesday.  Spring Break will start on Thursday and go through the following week.  I included enough schoolwork in the April 6th and April 13th bag to keep your child busy learning all through Spring Break should you choose to have him/her do schoolwork then.

I will be spending Spring Break preparing crafts and materials for the remainder of April.  I will be setting up a plastic container outside of The Learning Center with everyone's new bags of goodies and ask that everyone pick up their own bag at their convenience.    I will email everyone close to the end of Spring Break to let you know when everything is ready for pick up.

Thank you for all of your continued cooperation and support.

I hope you have a nice Easter and Spring Break.

May God Bless You All,
Paula Dobres
