WE HAD SO MUCH FUN THIS WEEK!!!

Our School Trip was sooooo much fun!!!

Holding butterflies using butterfly juice was amazing!

We loved running into our friends all over the Museum!!

We also worked hard on our Fairy Tale Unit!

And journaling our Butterfly Life Cycle too!

Our Computer Engineers LOVED coding our BeeBots too!!

Who knew coding could be so much fun?!?!

We started the first steps of some pretty cool crafts we will be working on next week!

Painting really is one of our favorite things to do in school!!

Show and Tell continues to be a BIG HIT!

We are wonderful presenters and audience members too!!

Xx is for Xylophone! 

Ask your little literary experts to show you how to make X's with their arms, fingers and legs!!

Did you know that you can make your own xylophone using glasses?!?!

And that the sounds change when you add water!!!

Toy xylophones are so cool too!

We loved learning that we can pray by making music! 

We did such a great job putting the finishing "touches" on our special hand flowers!

Our Five Day Friends LOVED playing the Letter Swatting Game!

The hardest part was choosing the right card! lol

We watched our caterpillars transform right before our eyes this week!!

They got really, really BIG!!

 And then hung like J's from the lid of their container!

We kept observing and observing...

and observing...

and observing...

and observing...

And then they wrapped themselves into chrysalises!!! 

We loved wrapping up our paper caterpillars in their chrysalises too!!

Preschool friendships are AMAZING!!

Kids on the run are so much fun!!

Did you hear about our Watermelon Taste Test for Letter Ww?!?!

Some of us LOVED it!

And some of us not so much! lol

But we ALL LOVED making our watermelon craft!

We loved learning about Transportation in the sky too!

We loved predicting whether our watermelon was heavy or light and then testing our predictions!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be continuing to work on our Life Cycle and Transportation Units as well as wrapping up Letter Xx and Learning Letter Yy and Number 9.  We will also be practicing our songs and poems for our GRADUATION!!!! (Don't be surprised if you hear some "Jingle Bells" singing or apple poems at home these next few weeks!!)

PreK Fun in the Sun Week:  will take place between Wednesday, May 24th and Wednesday, May 31st.  This is a combined PreK-3 and PreK-4 event!  We will be hosting a PreK Prom, an Art in the Park Day, an Under the Sea Day, a Zoo Animal Day and a Schoolwide Field Day!! Details and a food permission slip will be coming home through your child's folder on Monday.  Please note that we may have to switch some days around due to the weather so please be flexible with us.  As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.  Please return your permission slip as soon as possible.  Also, we are looking for volunteers to help us set up and run stations on our Art in the Park Day as well as our Under the Sea Day.  If you are available to help us with either day, please let me know.  We will also be sending out a Sign Up Genius with some items we will be needing during our fun week.  We greatly appreciate any donations of time and supplies you are willing to make!  Thank you so much for your help!

PreK-3 Graduation - June 6, 2023:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation, "The Preschool Review" where we will take a trip down our PreK-3 Memory Lane singing a song or reciting a poem for each of the months we were in school!  Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:40 that morning and families will head to the Gym in the Main Building.  Our Performance will begin promptly at 10:00am and will be followed by light refreshments.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  Our Graduation will take approximately 60-90 minutes.  More details to follow.

STEAM Units:  Transportation and  Life Cycle
Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Seasons of SPRING and SUMMER, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Flowers and Insects, Life Cycle

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, "We Love Mary" and  "We Sing Our Prayers"

FINAL Show & Tell of the School Year:   Friday, May 5th:   FREE CHOICE FINALE  WEEK  Please bring in one LAST thing that you would like to show and tell our friends about.
