Kicking Off Summer Was A Blast This Week!!

 A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:   It will be a short but fun packed week!  We will be participating in our schoolwide Field Day on Wednesday, learning more about SUMMER and will be celebrating our Daddies!!  

🎓🏫PreK-3 Graduation - June 7, 2024:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation, "The Preschool Review" where we will take a trip down our PreK-3 Memory Lane singing a song or reciting a poem for each of the months we were in school!  Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:40 that morning and families will head to the Gym in the Main Building.  Our Performance will begin promptly at 10:00am and will be followed by light refreshments.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  Our Graduation will take approximately 60-90 minutes.  

This Week's Focus will be on:

Letter of the Week:  Letter Review Aa-Zz

Numbers of the Month: 9 and 10

Color of the Month:  Review of all Colors

Shape of the Month:  Review of all Shapes

STEAM Units:  Transportation and  Life Cycle

Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Seasons of SPRING and SUMMER, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Flowers and Insects, Life Cycle

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, "We Love Mary" and  "We Sing Our Prayers"

Show & Tell:  Friday, May 31st: LAST SHOW and TELL in PREK-3!!  Free Choice Week!

Dates to Remember:

May 29th:  STS Field Day (Wear sneakers, sunblock and bring a water bottle!)

June 6th: Last day of PreK 

June 7th:  🎓PreK-3 Graduation🎓 at 10:00am

We started off our week with saying "Goodbye" to our beautiful butterflies...

They loved hanging out on our orange slices...

And had a hard time leaving us... this one really LOVED our friend's shirt!!

We said a little prayer for them and hope they love their freedom!!

They seemed to really enjoy hanging out on our Lilac Bush!

Under the Sea Day was SO MUCH FUN!!!

We had crafts...

SUNSHINE!!!

AND ICE POPS TOO!!!!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS!!!

Then we had our Rolling Out of PreK Day!!

Our Wheels were ready... (some passengers too!!)

And then we got our show on the road!!!

OOOOPS!!!  (Good thing Officer Feeney didn't notice this!!!)

Wheel Art was "wheely" fun!!

And it was "wheely" messy too!!

Camping Day was SO EXCITING!!!!

LOOK WHAT OUR LIEUTENANT ROCCO BROUGHT IN TO SHOW US!!!

He also taught us all about HIKING and all of his incredible HIKING GEAR!!

We learned so much!!

Could this day be any S'more Fun?!?!

Oh my goodness!! THE SHIRTS THIS YEAR!!!!

We loved making our Dream Catchers!!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our Lieutenant Rocco for making today EXTRA SPECIAL!!

I think we may all love the great outdoors as much as you do now!!

PreK Olympics Day was AMAZING!!

Our torches came out so beautifully!!

We did so well on all of our events!!

Our Red, White and Blue snacks were fabulous too!!

And then we finished off the week making our Summertime Trees!!
