PreK-3 Friends are the BEST!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be learning Letter Zz, putting the finishing touches on a Transportation surprise and continuing to learn about the Life Cycle!

🌞PreK Summer Fun in the Sun Week🌞:  May 20th through May 23rd:  Details came home through your child's folder.  This year's themes include Water Day 5/20, Bikes/Wheels Day 5/21, Camping Day 5/22 and PreK Olympics 5/23!!  

🎓🏫PreK-3 Graduation - June 7, 2024:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation, "The Preschool Review" where we will take a trip down our PreK-3 Memory Lane singing a song or reciting a poem for each of the months we were in school!  Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:40 that morning and families will head to the Gym in the Main Building.  Our Performance will begin promptly at 10:00am and will be followed by light refreshments.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  Our Graduation will take approximately 60-90 minutes.  More details to follow.

Letter of the Week:  OUR LAST LETTER: Zz

Numbers of the Month: 9 and 10

Color of the Month:  Review of all Colors

Shape of the Month:  Review of all Shapes

STEAM Units:  Transportation and  Life Cycle

Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Seasons of SPRING and SUMMER, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Flowers and Insects, Life Cycle

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, "We Love Mary" and  "We Sing Our Prayers"

Show & Tell:  No Show and Tell this week due to Graduation Rehearsals!!

May 13th:  🕮📚PreK heading to our BOOKFAIR!!! 📚🕮

May 17th:  Tag Day - Wear Pink/Purple for National Cancer Research Month- Mary's Place by The Sea in NJ fundraiser

May 20th-23rd:  🌞PreK Summer Fun Week! 🌞 (volunteers needed - details coming home soon)

May 24th:  Tag Day:  WEAR RED, WHITE and BLUE to Raise Funds for Eighth Grade Project Graduation  

May 24th: Schoolwide NOON DISMISSAL (No aftercare)

May 27th:  NO SCHOOL: Memorial Day

May 29th:  STS Field Day (details coming soon)

June 6th: Last day of PreK 

June 7th:  🎓PreK-3 Graduation🎓 at 10:00am

We had so much fun making our Mother's Day Surprises!!!

Our little loves drew such beauties!!

Our Hand Flowers were made with so much love!

And our bracelets were assembled with such care!!

We hope all our special mommies loved their gifts!!

We also loved learning about Jesus' special mommy too!!

We loved learning that you can sing your prayers!

We finished learning about our last form of transportation!!

We loved reading The Tiny Seed and then making our own sunflowers!

Our scissor skills are getting so good!!!

And then we added lots and lots of seeds!!

Our Masterpieces are now on display in our Hallway Gallery!

Our Biologists loved learning about worms this week!

We added some to our PreK-3 Playground Planter to help get our soil ready for planting next week!!

It was so cool to see them burrowing down into the soil!!

Then we came back indoors and wrapped our caterpillars into their chrysalises!!

We did so well with this difficult skill!!!

Our Five Day Friends loved learning about bees and their importance to our environment!!

They came out so cute!!  I can't wait to add them to our Hallway Gallery!!

Our beading skills are spectacular!

Look closely at our friends' heads!!

Blippi and his friends took us on a transportation adventure! It was so fun!

We learned that Letter Yy is for YAWN!!

We loved the storybook I Dare You Not to Yawn!

And we all lost the dare!!!

Teachers and students alike!!!!!

This was such a hard work time to stay awake through!!

A great big thank you to all of our families for sharing your sweet little angels with us and for making this such a spectacular Teacher Appreciation Week.  We are truly Blessed!💗
