Week of January 22, 2024

When it is too cold to play outside, WE STILL HAVE FUN INSIDE!!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be learning Letter Nn, introducing Noah's Ark, focusing on Sunny and Rainy Weather, name writing, counting as well as continuing to work on our Winter and Weather Units.  The forecast for PreK-3 this week is promising to be a very busy and lots of FUN!!

DISCLAIMER:  You may notice that less schoolwork is coming home in your child's folder lately...  The reason is that we are playing more learning games, we are decorating our classroom and hallway, we will soon be working on several in class science experiments as well as the the fact that we are holding onto our little scientists' projects and writing samples for a BIG SURPRISE that we are secretly putting together!!!

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Wednesday, January 24th as well as before school everyday that same week.  Please note that Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri conferences will take place in our classroom and all Wednesday ones will take place in the St Therese Church Office, right down the hall from the Church entrance and just past the restrooms.

💗Valentine's Day💗: We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in PreK-3 on Wednesday, February 14th. We will be exchanging Valentine's Day Cards in school.  Please send in one card per child with only your own child's name on each as the from whom the card is and not the name for whom it is intended.  This will make distribution much easier as the children are only just beginning to recognize each other's names.  We have 12 children in our class.  The children can either make their own little cards or they may be purchased.  Please don't spend a lot on them, the dollar stores usually carry class sets.  Please do not send in Valentines with food or candy as we have children with allergies in our class.  Your children may begin to bring in their cards whenever they are ready up through our celebration day on the 14th.  This little homework idea is completely optional: you may want to take this opportunity to have your child write their first initial (or full name if they are able to) on each of their cards and then finish the rest of their name for him/her.
