🎄"It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas"🎄

Weekly Recap:  

We worked so hard learning Letter Ii and decorating our classroom for Christmas with our beautiful masterpieces!!   

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week: 

We will be PRACTICING, PRACTICING and PRACTICING for our Christmas Show!  We will also be finishing up Letter Ii and starting to learn Letter Jj as well as working on our Name Recognition and continuing to be kind to one another as well as to our world.

🎄🎅🌟CHRISTMAS🌟🎅🎄Our PreK Combined 3's and 4's Christmas Show🎄is on Friday, December 8th at 9:00am in the Main Gym.  (Snow Date on 12/11) Please read through our Show Reminders that came home through your child's folder.

Gifts of Kindness  Thank you for helping our class gift Baby Jesus with your children's kindness.  They are all very excited to use their kind and caring words and acts to help celebrate the Advent Season.

Colors of the Months:  Blue
Shapes of the Months: Star

December Themes:  Counting 0-4, Sorting, AB Patterns, Christmas, Kindness, Feelings, Winter,      Name Recognition
Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Christmas, "Jesus is Born," Nativity, Advent, St Therese Church Tour 

Show & Tell:  NO SHOW and TELL this week due to our Christmas Show 

Dates to Remember:

December 5th (Tuesday): Santa Shop (Optional)- 5 Day Friends will shop with our class.  3 Day Friends are welcome to come into school and shop with a parent.  Our class is going at 9:15.

December 8th 9:00am: 🎄PreK Combined 3's and 4's Christmas Show🎄Your child will be dismissed directly to you after the performance.  Preschool will NOT BE in session after the show and Before Care will NOT be available.

December 15th: HSA School Wide Pajama Day to raise money for CHOP

December 21st: 8th Grade Project Graduation Tag Day: 🎅🎄Wear Christmas Colors🎄🎅

December 21st: NOON Dismissal (No After Care)

December 22nd-29th:  NO SCHOOL - Christmas Break

January 15th: NO SCHOOL Martin Luther King Jr Day

January 15th: PRIORITY REGISTRATION begins for the 2024-2025 School Year for current STS Families

January 28th: STS Catholic Schools Week Begins (details coming soon)

We started the week off by learning Letter I and some fun Insect Facts!

Then we got to work on our Christmas Stockings!

We traced our names and SEWED!!!

We have some pretty incredible sewing skills!!!

ssssshhhh!!! Don't tell your little seamstress that they were working on their fine motor skills!!

Our Masterpieces are now hanging on our Classroom Fireplace...

We LOVED making Father Jun a Birthday Card!

And LOVED giving it to him on his BIRTHDAY!!

Our Five Day Friends loved making a special Heart for Jesus Christmas Ornament after reading a very special Christmas Story Book.

We also worked so hard on our Letter Ii Books!

The teachers were sooooo Impressed!!

Sssshhhh!!!  Don't ask about this SURPRISE!!

We are working on something TOP SECTRET!!!

(But these pictures were way too cute not to include in my blog this week!!)

Our Five Day Friends cooked up soooo much FUN!!!

We loved decorating our Classroom Christmas Tree!!

As well as learning about our special Nativity right next to it.

Our Birthday Gifts of Kindness Box is right next to our tree too!

We wrapped up learning about Fall with a special writing activity that will be coming home at the end of our Seasons Unit... in June!

We kicked our Winter Unit off a bit early but on the same day as our FIRST SUCCASUNNA SNOWFLAKES!!!!

Our Snowy Masterpieces are now on display in our Classroom (Closet Door) Gallery!

We did so well writing the word "Winter" on our tree tags too!!

Skinny markers are so much fun to write with!

i is for iguanas!

We LOVED learning cool iguana facts too!!

Our Afternoon Friends love playing Letter Games on our Learning Board!

We took a Field Trip to the St. Therese Church Nativity with our Five Day Friends.

We will be taking another trip there with our full class this week!!!

And... we have a special SURPRISE planned for them too!!

We continued to work on our patterning skills this week and painted a pattern on a candy cane!!

We started learning our color of the month with some PLAYDOUGH FUN!!!

We especially LOVED our Christmas cookie cutters!

We finished off the week with a GREAT Christmas Show Practice!

Please take note of your little performer's stage position.  This photo shows our stage order for the BIG DAY!!  Please use it as a guide as to where your child will be performing and use it to choose where to sit on Friday.  We had one absent student that will be standing in the gap on the left... (3rd position from the left.)
