Weekly Recap: This was an unbelievable week of learning fun in PreK! We loved celebrating another of our friend's birthdays! I can't believe how much our little ones have grown this year, it shows in so many ways! Letter Uu was a unique one with under the umbrella and unicorns as our highlights. We loved learning about Earth Day and really understood ways to help protect our world. The excitement was truly undeniable when our caterpillars were unveiled this week. We were so excited to do some planting in school too! We had so much fun planting our seeds under the soil. We learned all about what seeds need to grow and are doing such a great job watering our garden! We also looked Up to the sky to learn about two forms of transportation. We also watched a video of the first helicopter flight on Mars!!! SO EXCITING!! We also LOVED learning OPPOSITES too!
A Sneak Peak at Our Upcoming Week: Vv will prove very valuable this week! Please pack a vegetable for your child to enjoy with their Friday snack for a mini-lesson on nutritious treats. Please return the Vegetable Taste Test permission slip form coming home on Monday as soon as possible. Sorry for the delay in sending it home. We will also continue learning about helicopters, caterpillars as well as opposites this week.
PreK-3 Graduation - June 11, 2012: We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation. As of right now, IT WILL BE IN PERSON!!!!!! Of course this is subject to change depending on State and Local Health Department protocols but we are planning on having a live and in person celebration! More information to follow but please mark your calendars. Our special celebration will start at 10:00am sharp in the STS Gym. Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:30 that morning and families will head to the Gym. Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration. We are still working out the number of guests allowed per student as well as whether or not we will be allowed to provide light refreshments. More details to follow. I am just thrilled that we will (hopefully) be allowed to have our graduation this year!!!
