A Sneak Peek at our Week:

This week we will be finishing up Letter Ee and learning Letter Ff, continuing to work on our sense of touch as well as using all of our senses to explore the Season of Fall!

 

This Week's Focus will be on:

Letter of the Week: Finishing Letter Ee and Starting Letter Ff
Number of the Month:  2
Color of the Month: Orange
Shape of the Month: Triangle
Monthly Themes: The Five Senses, Season of Fall, Counting 0-2, Sorting, Halloween, Fire Safety & Community Helpers, Pumpkin Science
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Helping and Caring for One Another

🍁Show and Tell: πŸ Friday, October 25th:  FALL FUN WEEK Theme - Please bring in ONE Fall item to Show and Tell our friends about. (ie: a leaf, an acorn, a fall flower, something orange, a woodland critter stuffy, a Halloween something, a picture of you apple or pumpkin picking, a football, etc...)

Dates to Remember:

October 21st:  πŸ‚Fall Fun DayπŸ‚  Please dress your child for outdoor fun all morning long! (Layers are best as the weather will be much cooler earlier on on the day than later in the morning.)  Also please remember to pack your child's water bottle as we will be keeping them outside for drink breaks throughout the morning.  

October 25th:  Eighth Grade Tag Day:  Wear Halloween Colors

October 30th: πŸŽƒHalloween Parade and PartyπŸŽƒ Halloween is on Thursday this year therefore we will celebrate on Wednesday morning so our entire class can participate. Please refer to the information sheet that came home through your child's backpack. Also, be sure to flip it over to see additional items on the back.

October 31st: Halloween Centers Day: Our Five Day Friends will be spending the day working on Halloween Centers.  They may wear their costumes to school or come dressed in Halloween colors.  Please pack a change of clothes if they come to school in costume.  We will be attending the Big School Parade as spectators (not participants) in the afternoon.  

November 11th: NO SCHOOL - Veteran's Day
November 15th: Class Picture Day and Retake Day (Remember to wear your biggest smile!!)
November 20th: πŸ“šLiterati Book Fair πŸ“š- PreK Shopping Day (Only those shopping will attend.)
November 25-26:  PRESCHOOL will be in full session even though K-8 will have Noon Dismissals for conferences.  Our PreK Conferences will take place in January. 
November 27th: NOON DISMISSAL (No After Care)
November 28-29: NO SCHOOL - Thanksgiving Break 

December 6th 10:00am:  πŸŽ…πŸŽ„PreK-3 and 4 Combined Christmas ShowπŸŽ„πŸŽ…Please note that this is a noon dismissal day for the entire school.  Your child will be coming in later than usual and will be dismissed directly to you following our performance.  Details coming home soon.

December 20th: NOON DISMISSAL (No After Care)
December 23-January 1st: NO SCHOOL - Christmas Break

We are doing so well with our pencil grips and tracing skills!!





Our Five Day Friends worked hard on their Letter Ee Books!



We learned so much about Elephants this week!!


Be sure to ask your little conservationist all about it!!





We kicked off our EEEK Week by painting some Monster Heads!
(ssshhh... Don't tell your little monster that they are working on their fine motor skills!!)





We continued EEEKK Week by reading a sweet little story book about a little mummy...


Then we worked on our fine motor skills and made our very own mummies!!




We learned that God loves it when we help and respect one another.  Our little helpers knew so many ways they can help out around their homes and in our classroom!



Then we were ready to brave the chilly weather and head over to one of our very favorite spots...


OUR PLAYGROUND!!!!







PreK-3 Friends are THE BEST!!!!



We did so well forming our E's with cubes!!









We loved making a Little e egg!!




Ee is for EGG Games!!
(sshh!!! Gross Motor Development too!)










We finished off our week showing off our extraordinary public speaking skills!!









Looking forward to seeing all of our volunteers at our Fall Fun Day on Monday morning!!
