Week of September 9, 2024

We have been busy making friends in PreK-3!!

Weekly Recap:

We had such a fun week learning all about ourselves as well as one another!  We have been working hard on a special surprise that the children will be bringing home soon. Be sure to have your little author and illustrator share it with you when it comes home! (HINT, HINT!)  ***Disclaimer: When your child's folder seems a bit light, it usually means we are either busy creating masterpieces to hang in our classroom or working on Top Secret HUGE Masterpieces that will eventually make their way home...)

We also had a blast reading and acting out one of our favorite books, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and learning about our names and initial letters!  

A Sneak Peek at our Week Ahead:

This week we will begin our Letter of the Week curriculum with letter Aa.  We will also be starting our STEAM Unit on The Five Senses and learning about Number 0!  Be sure to ask your preschooler all about it!

This Week's Focus will be on:

Letter of the Week:  Letter Aa 
Numbers of the Month:  0 and 1
Color of the month: Yellow
Shape of the month: Circle
September Units: All About Me, Making Friends, Apples, The Five Senses
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals

Show and Tell:  Friday, September 13th-  Please bring in your ⭐All About Me ⭐Star Poster.  We can't wait to learn more about each other!  ***PLEASE LABEL your project  WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME***

October 9th- NOON DISMISSAL (No After Care) - Teacher Professional Day
October 11th and 14th- NO SCHOOL - Original Teacher Professional Day & Columbus Day
TENTATIVE- October 21st (Rain date 10/23):  🍂Fall Fun Day🍂 (details coming soon)
October 30th: Halloween Parade and Party🎃 (Halloween is on Thursday this year therefore we will celebrate on Wednesday morning so our entire class can participate.  Stay tuned for more information!)

Have you heard how AMAZING our playground is?!?!

Our PreK-3 Friends are soooo sweet!!!

It is going to be a pretty special school year!!!
