Our sweet little explorers!!

Weekly Recap:

We had another blessed week of learning bliss!  We really enjoyed spending the day with our teddy bears on Show and Tell Friday.  "Blue Bird, Blue Bird" was so much fun to make and play games with.  Our Five Day Friends had so much fun keeping Pigeon from Driving the Bus!!  We loved going on our "Bear Hunt" and using our binoculars to explore our sense of sight.  The children adored being adventurers and exploring our school grounds using our binoculars!  They made so many wonderful discoveries!  Be sure to ask them all about it! 

A Peek at our Week Ahead:

This week we will be learning the letter Cc, focusing on our sense of hearing, learning about and observing signs of Fall and wrapping up our September themes before kicking off October!  It is going to be another busy week!!

Color of the month: yellow
Shape of the month: circle
Themes: All About Me, Making Friends, Apples, The Five Senses, Season of Fall
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals

Show and Tell:  Friday, September 27th-  Please bring in One thing that either starts with the "C" sound (car, cookie monster, cat, clown, etc.) or something yellow or circle shaped to show and tell our friends about. ***PLEASE LABEL WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME or place in a labeled baggie***

October 9th- NOON DISMISSAL (No After Care) - Teacher Professional Day
October 11th and 14th- NO SCHOOL - Original Teacher Professional Day & Columbus Day
October 21st (Rain date 10/23):  🍂Fall Fun Day🍂 (details coming soon)
October 30th: Halloween Parade and Party🎃 (Halloween is on Thursday this year therefore we will celebrate on Wednesday morning so our entire class can participate.  Stay tuned for more information!)

Our friends have been enjoying talking about each other's posters!

Finger painting is the BEST! (and a little slimy too!!)

Our PreK-3 toys are AMAZING!!!

Bb is for Bear Hunt!!

First we read the funny story and then we acted it out with our Learning Board!!

B is for Brown Bear!!

Our little bears came out great!!

Then we learned about our sense of sight and made our own Binoculars!!

And then we were ready to explore!!

We made so many discoveries!!

Exploring with our eyes was so much fun!!

It was so cool!!

Learning Board Games are so fun in the afternoon!

We worked on circles this week and used a pretty cool stamping technique to make lots and lots of them!!

Shape Puzzles were fun too!!

We celebrated Security Guard Appreciation week by making our two amazing STS Security Guards special cards...

Then we invited them in to ask them some important questions!!

And gave them lots of high fives...

And posed for photos too!!

We are pretty lucky to have them both at our school!!

Our playground is the BEST!!!

And so are our friends!!

(We play so hard that sometimes we need a little break too!!)

We loved playing "Blue Bird, Blue Bird!" 

And then did such a great job making our own Little b blue birds!!

We started learning about Fall this week and made our own Fall Trees!

They will soon be on display in our classroom gallery!!

Then after rest time, we used our fall paint colors to make our own masterpieces!!

Our Authors did such a great job sharing their first PreK-3 publications!!!

Our Bus Movement Game was SO MUCH FUN!!!

Then our Five Day Friends learned all about BUSES!!

The first step in our bus craft was PAINTING!!!

Then came the "Wheels on the bus..."

And finally the Big B and Little b passengers!!

We did so well sorting them!!

Did you hear about our new letter writing technique?!?

It's such a cool (teaching) tool!!!

We did so well with our Bb sound pictures!

And with our B handwriting practice too!!

Big B and Little b Bear Sorting was so cool!!

We had so much fun with our Bears!!

We loved showing them to our friends, playing games and singing and dancing with them too!!

We are so Blessed!!

What a beautiful class!!!
