We had a great first day of school on Friday!  Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Selser and I were so impressed with how quickly all the children adjusted to being in their new classroom.  Good job prepping them for school moms and dads!!!  It is going to be a wonderful school year!!

We had so much fun painting, playing, coloring, singing, dancing, playing on the playground and of course starting to make new friends!

This week we will be working on our "All About Me" (and each other) Unit!  We cannot wait to see what you and your children come up with on your Star Posters for Show and Tell on Friday!  We will also continue to learn our new classroom routines.  The children are all catching on really quickly already!

Please be sure to look in the "Parents Page" on our STS Website for important information and forms from the Main Office and Nurse's Office.

Please LABEL EVERYTHING that belongs to your little one.  It is very difficult for us to keep track of what belongs to whom.

Pizza Fridays starts this week for the children who stay full day.  It is a completely optional program.  If you wish to participate, please send exact change to school through your child's folder by Thursday.  

Thank you all for returning our school forms so quickly as well as all of your very generous donations of tissues, baby wipes and disinfecting wipes!!

Letter of the Week: Singing the ABC song, First Letter of Our Names, Letter Aa next week
Numbers of the Month:  0 and 1
Color of the month: yellow
Shape of the month: circle
Themes: All About Me, Making Friends, Apples, The Five Senses
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals

Show and Tell:  Friday, September 9th-  Please bring in your All About Me Star Poster.  We can't wait to learn more about each other!  ***PLEASE LABEL WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME***

Dates to Remember:

September 5th- NO SCHOOL - Labor Day
September 16th- School Pictures (Be sure to wear your best SMILE!!)

September 30th- Go Gold Tag Day to support the fight against childhood cancer ($1 donations or any amount you'd like will be collected for St Jude's Research Hospital)

October 7th and 10th- NO SCHOOL - Teacher Professional Day & Columbus Day

October 12th- Tentative Date- Fall Fun Day:  Details coming home soon - (Volunteers Needed)

October 28th- Halloween Tag Day:  Information coming soon

October 31st- PreK MORNING Halloween Parade:  Details coming home soon... Our Parade is separate from the Big School AFTERNOON Parade.
