Week of January 21, 2019

We had "SNOW" much fun in our Winter Wonderland Learning Center this week!  Our Preschoolers were soooooo excited to see the snow falling on Friday morning!  (It brought back such wonderful memories of my own children at this sweet age!)  Be sure to ask your child about our scientific observations on what happens to a bowl full of snow when we leave it in our warm classroom all morning.  Our little scientists were so excited about their observations!  We really had fun playing snowball basketball as well as snowball toss too.  Ask your little snow angels all about it!  

This week we will focus on cloudy and windy weather as well as continuing to work on our names..  

We will also be learning about some black and/or white polar animals too.

Just a little heads up that we will be exchanging Valentine Cards for Valentine's Day in February.  (I know many of the stores already have them for sale...)  Please send in one card per child with only your own child's name on each as the from whom the card is and not the name for whom it is intended.  This will make distribution much easier as the children are only just beginning to recognize each other's names.  We have 12 children in our class.  The children can either make their own little cards or they may be purchased.  That is entirely up to you.  Please do not send in Valentines with food/candy as we have children with allergies in our classroom and school.      

PreK Parent/Teacher Conferences:   I'm looking forward to discussing your child's progress with you this week.  All conferences will take place in our PreK-3 classroom.

Themes:  Counting, AB Patterns, Sorting and Classifying, Graphing, Winter, Weather, Feelings, Animals

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Making "Good" Choices,  "I Pray Every Day"

Show & Tell:  Friday, Jan 25th  FREE CHOICE DAY  Please bring in anything you would like to show and tell our PreK friends about... your choice! (We are working on making good choices and good decisions.  I can't wait to see what your little ones come up with!)
