Our Silly Sock Scavenger Hunt was so much fun!

We read such a SILLY chick book and made some super silly chicks too!  

Did you notice how well your little spring chicken cut out their own egg shells?

I cannot believe we are already in April!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and restful Spring Break!  We are going to hit the ground running this week with so much to do and so little time left!!!!  We are also SOOOO EXCITED to have Mrs. McDonald return to school this week!  We have all really missed her!

Weekly Recap:   Letter Ss was SO SUPER SILLY!  (and super quick!)  We will continue to review it as well as the rest of our letters throughout the remainder of the school year. Please reinforce the letters at home as well.  Some suggestions include having your child point out letters in books you read together, have them identify letters in the environment (cereal boxes, tooth paste tubes, traffic signs, store names etc.), play alphabet memory games, solve alphabet puzzles, play alphabet games online, have them practice their name puzzles from our earlier remote learning activity and identify each letter as they build their name puzzle.  Its amazing how much repetition helps in learning those tricky letters!  Just keep it light and fun.  If your child starts to feel frustrated, move onto something else.  They learn best when they don't realize they are learning and think its just a game!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  It's T Time in PreK-3!  We have so much planned!  We will be working on letter Tt, continuing our Transportation Unit, Introducing the color Purple, Rectangles as well as Number 8!  It is going to be so busy but so fun!

Disinfecting Wipes:  A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Erin's family for supplying our classroom with disinfecting wipes all year long!  I know how difficult it was to find them throughout this pandemic and truly appreciate all of their efforts!  We go through so many on any given day as you can all imagine.  If any other families are able and willing to donate as well, we would greatly appreciate it!  The teachers' fingers may be raw and cracked at the end of each school day, but it is worth it to keep all our little sweethearts healthy and safe! 🙏

PreK-3 Graduation - June 11, 2012:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation.  As of right now, IT WILL BE IN PERSON!!!!!!  Of course this is subject to change depending on State and Local Health Department protocols but we are planning on having a live and in person celebration!  More information to follow but please mark your calendars.  Our special celebration will start at 10:00am sharp in the STS Gym.  Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:30 that morning and families will head to the Gym.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  We are still working out the number of guests allowed per student as well as whether or not we will be allowed to provide light refreshments.  More details to follow.  I am just thrilled that we will (hopefully) be allowed to have our graduation this year!!!

Weekly Recap:   This week was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!  Letter Rr was so so fun!  Rockets were a huge hit as well as "Little Rabbit Foo Foo" and the Easter Bunny!  Our Easter Hat Celebration was a big hit!  WOW, I am so impressed with our class's creativity!!  Our Egg Hunt was so much fun too!  The Easter Bunny left us so many cool goodies!  Robins were so much fun to learn about and to make!  They are currently on display in The Learning Center Hallway.

Weekly Recap:   The Leprechaun was too sneaky for us!  Even though we weren't able to catch him, he still left us some GOLD!!!  We were so LUCKY!!   "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" was such a fun fairy tale to learn about.  We loved differentiating between small, medium and big!  Ask your little one all about it.  We also had fun learning about traffic lights and cars, making our own and using our imaginations to come up with one of a kind car ideas!  We loved playing Red Light, Green Light while we drove our imaginary cars.  Be sure to play it at home too!  We started learning about Spring and made our own trees!  Letter Qq was fun to learn and make!  Ask your little sweetheart to make a big Q and a little q with their bodies!  They especially like the "kick" part of their Qq's, so watch out!

Easter Hat Celebration:  March 24th:  Easter is early this year and so is our Annual PreK Easter Hat Celebration!  Time to get out the Peeps, plastic eggs, flowers, bunny ears and your hot glue gun!!  It's your time to shine in creating the most amazing Easter Hat with your little honey bunny!  You can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like.  I'm sure your little cutie will be proud to wear whatever you create together!  Please see the notice that went home in your child's folder for more details.
