Learning about Wind was a Breeze this week!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be wrapping up our Weather Unit with an in depth study of RAINBOWS!!!  We will also be learning Letter Qq, finishing up Letter Pp (since Mother Nature has altered our original plans!) and reading lots and lots of Dr Seuss Stories as we celebrate Read Across America!  Don't forget your rainbow outfit and show and tell on Friday!

🐇🐰Easter Hat Parade🐰🐇   March 27th at 11:15am:  Our Annual PreK Easter Hat Celebration is in March this year!  Time to get out the Peeps, plastic eggs, flowers, bunny ears and your hot glue gun!!  It's your time to shine with creating the most amazing Easter Hat with your little honey bunny!  You can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like.  I'm sure your little cutie will be proud to wear whatever you create together!  Please see the notice that came home  in your child's folder for more details. (Just a little heads-up: the dollar stores are already full of Easter items!)

Colors of the Months:  Green
Shapes of the Months: Oval

March Themes:   Counting 0-7, Graphing, Friendship, Transportation, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, St. Patrick's Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes, Differentiating Sizes, Lent, Easter and Signs of SPRING!

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, Good Deeds, Lent and Easter

Show & Tell:  Friday, March 6th: 🌈Rainbow Theme🌈 - Wear your favorite Rainbow Color (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet) and bring something that same color to show and tell our friends about.

Important Dates to Remember: 

March 6th:  🌈Rainbow Day in PreK-3 - Wear your favorite RAINBOW COLOR and bring in a Show and Tell that is your favorite rainbow color too!

March 20th: 🧦Silly Sock Day in PreK-3 - Wear your silliest socks to school for Letter Ss Silliness!

March 17^th: 8th Grade Tag Day:  🍀Wear Green for St Patrick's Day
 March 27^th: (rain date 3/30) 🐰PreK Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt🐰 (Information came home through folders)
 
April 2^nd: NOON DISMISSAL - Holy Thursday
April 3^rd:  NO SCHOOL - Good Friday
April 6^th-10^th - NO SCHOOL - Easter Break
 
April 24^th: FAMILY FIELD TRIP  to The LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER  

 
May 4th (rain date 5/11):  PreK Walking Field Trip to the 📚Roxbury Public Library📚(Volunteers Needed)

We did so well sequencing the "This Little Piggie" Nursey Rhyme!

We did so well making our Letter P Piggies too!!

We used Pink Paint to paint these... Stay tuned to find out what "P" animal we are turning them into next week!!!

We loved learning about Peacocks!

They have such beautiful feathers!!
