πFall Fun Day was soooo much fun!!!!π
Weekly Recap:
We had a fun and very busy short week of school. We had so much fun at Fall Fun Day and loved using our sense of touch!
A Sneak Peek at our Upcoming Week:
This week we will be wrapping up our Five Senses Unit, learning Letter Ee, making more Fall observations, and having some spooky fun!!
Switching to 5 Days a Week:
If your child is currently a Three Day Friend and would like to switch to being a Five Day Friend (just mornings or full day) you are more than welcome to do so. Please just let Mrs. Hopkins in the office know and we can make the switch at any point. Unfortunately, like we just experienced, many of our days off fall on Mondays and Fridays and our little ones miss a good amount of learning and may have a bit of a bumpy reentry into the classroom after being out of school for a full "three day-er" week.
π§€π₯Mittens vs Gloves:π§€π₯
π₯If you are currently deciding whether to get your little munchkin gloves or mittens, please choose mittens! Unless your child knows how to put on their own gloves, mittens are much easier for us to navigate as we are trying to rush out the classroom door for playground time as well as dismissal. π₯

Our Week in Photos:
πΈ Here's A Little Snap Shot of Our WeekπΈ
Our Five Day Friends started off the week counting apples and matching them to the correct number!
It is a hard skill but they all did such an amazing job on it!!
Then we moved on to cookie counting games!
Did you hear π΅"Who Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar?!?"π΅
Then we made our own cookies!
Our Five Day Friends also did such a great job tracing their 2's!
Then the cookie cutters came out for some amazing cookie making playdough masterpieces!
What better after a full day of cookies than an exercise dance party?!?!
We are getting so good at Learning Board Games!
And Straight Off the Fall Fashion Runway....
Time to use our HANDS!!!
Our Classroom Halloween Sensory Bin was so fun to explore using our Sense of TOUCH!
We read a really "touching" storybook about a little girl who made a special picture for her blind grandfather. Then we put our blindfolds on to "see" what it was like to identify objects without being able to see them with our eyes and only "see" them by using our sense of touch...
Then we used our sense of touch to create our own beautiful collages!
And we used so many wonderful words to describe the way each piece felt!!
We can't wait to bring them home once they dry over the weekend!
In religion this week we talked about the importance of gratitude and of saying "Thank You" to God and everyone in our lives for kind deeds as well as all of our blessings.
We also learned a beautiful Thank You Prayer that we will be turning into a special masterpiece that will be shared with all of our families through our "PreK-3 Book Bag."
Then things got a teeny tiny little bit MESSY in our classroom!!
It was SOOOOO FUN!!!
We used our sense of TOUCH to review some of our letters and shapes too!
After reading one of our favorite Halloween books, "Room on the Broom," our Five Day Friends mixed our own brew!!
And, POOF!!!!
It became a BROOM!!!
Perfect for flying around our classroom!!
Then we made our own witch PUPPETS!!!!
With detachable brooms of course!!! lol
We LOVE our PLAYGROUND!!
