Week of October 29, 2018

Fall Fun Day was so much fun!  A big shout out to Mrs. Reed for organizing such a successful day and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of our amazing parent volunteers who went above and beyond their volunteer posts to ensure that all the children had a great time!  Be sure to spot the  adorable spiders the children worked together to make displayed on the trees in front of the Learning Center as well as on our playground.

We had so much fun turning our class pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern!  Ask your child how we did it!

We go outside to play on the playground on most days.   So, PLEASE, PLEASE dress your child appropriately for outdoor play as the weather is certainly becoming more and more chilly.

HALLOWEEN is this Wednesday, October 31st.  We are looking forward to our party and parade.  Please refer to the letter sent home for all the specifics and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Also please be reminded that pick up is at the Learning Center front doors as opposed to the car line on Halloween.

Our PreK Christmas Show will be here before we know it.  I am awaiting confirmation on the date and will let you know as soon as possible as I know many of you will need to take time from work to come see your sweet angels perform some holiday favorites.  More on this to follow shortly...

Week of October 22, 2018

We had such a fun week in PreK-3 getting messy using our sense of touch!  Please ask your child to tell you all about our activities.  We also read some amazing dinosaur, dragon and dog books and made some cool crafts.  Hope our cute, little, itsy bitsy spiders didn't give you too much of a fright!  Our "Touch Art" activity was too wet to bring home on Friday so please look for it in your child's backpack on Monday. Be sure to ask your child why Lucy, the main character in the touching book we read, decided to make "Touch Art" instead of "Painted Art" for her Grandpa.

Fall Fun Day, 10/24, is rapidly approaching and we are looking forward to a great day!  We will be participating in activities both inside and outside of the Learning Center.  Please dress your child for the weather as it is looking like it will be a cold day.

We go outside to play on the playground on most days as long as it is not raining and the temperature is not below freezing. So, PLEASE, PLEASE dress your child appropriately for outdoor play as the weather is certainly becoming more and more chilly.

Week of October 15, 2018

Last week was another short but busy week in PreK-3.  I am so proud of all of the children for coming back to school, after a full week off, without missing a beat!  They all remembered our routines and came right in ready to learn and play!

We continued learning about letter Cc and really enjoyed reading books about cars and making our own car craft.  We were busy making Halloween crafts to decorate our classroom and hallway.  Wait until you see how festive our Learning Center is beginning to look!  We also started learning a new Halloween song that we cannot wait to sing for you after our Halloween Parade on October 31st.
