Week of October 22, 2018

We had such a fun week in PreK-3 getting messy using our sense of touch!  Please ask your child to tell you all about our activities.  We also read some amazing dinosaur, dragon and dog books and made some cool crafts.  Hope our cute, little, itsy bitsy spiders didn't give you too much of a fright!  Our "Touch Art" activity was too wet to bring home on Friday so please look for it in your child's backpack on Monday. Be sure to ask your child why Lucy, the main character in the touching book we read, decided to make "Touch Art" instead of "Painted Art" for her Grandpa.

Fall Fun Day, 10/24, is rapidly approaching and we are looking forward to a great day!  We will be participating in activities both inside and outside of the Learning Center.  Please dress your child for the weather as it is looking like it will be a cold day.

We go outside to play on the playground on most days as long as it is not raining and the temperature is not below freezing. So, PLEASE, PLEASE dress your child appropriately for outdoor play as the weather is certainly becoming more and more chilly.

This Week's Focus will be on:
Letter of the Week:  Ee
Number of the Month: 2
Color of the Month:  Orange
Shape of the Month:  Triangle
Themes:  Sense of Smell, Signs of Fall, Counting 0-2, Sorting and Halloween

Show & Tell:  On Friday, October 26th, please bring in something that starts with the "E" sound (envelope, elephant, Easter egg, elf, eel, tell about an "exciting" time, eagle, etc.) or something you can smell, something orange or something triangular to show and tell our friends about.  If you have a hard time finding something, you can always send in a print out of a picture.  The children really do look forward to sharing their items with one another!

Dates to Remember:
October 24th- Fall Fun Day (Wear your St Therese t-shirt if you have one.)
