Week of December 16, 2019

I am so proud of all the children for doing such a great job during our Christmas Show.  It was so nice to see all of our families gathered together for such a special day!  A great big thank you to our wonderful class moms, Mrs. Selser and Mrs. Rozanski,  for organizing such a beautiful refreshment table!

Gifts of Kindness  Thank you for helping our class gift Baby Jesus with your children's kindness.  They are all very excited to use their kind and caring words and acts to help celebrate the Advent Season.

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be in January.  More information will be coming home through the children's folders this week.  Please respond with your top time/date preferences as soon as possible as I would like to finalize the conference schedule over Christmas break to give you enough time to plan ahead for our conference.

IMPORTANT:  Early Dismissal on Friday, 12/20 will be at 11:30 in the Main Building due to busing issues.  If you have a child being dismissed from the Main Building, please pick up there first and then head over to the Learning Center.  We will start dismissing from the Learning Center around 11:40 to accommodate families with siblings.  We will continue dismissing through 12:00 for those families who were planning on a noon dismissal as originally scheduled so please do not worry if you cannot get to us until then.  Also, PLEASE plan on a very busy parking lot between a school wide dismissal as well as  Mass occurring around the same time.  Let's all try to be extra diligent with all of our little ones' safety.

We will be finishing up letter Jj this week as well as reviewing all the letters we have learned so far.  We will also be working on  name recognition and of course focusing on CHRISTMAS!!!  Fun, fun, fun!!!

Week of December 9, 2019

It was looking like a full week of school until the terrible Ice/Snow Storm hit!  Although I was disappointed to put some of our lessons on hold, it was so much fun to jump start our snowy crafts in PreK-3!!  We also loved decorating our classroom Christmas Tree!  Be sure to sneak a peek at our Winter Wonderland  on display in our classroom next time you are in the Learning Center!

We had a blast painting, glittering and molding with our new blue play dough!  This upcoming week is going to be equally messy and fun!  Be sure to ask your little artist all about his/her mystery stains on their clothes and hands.  We do our best to clean up after all our fun, but some things are a little harder to remove than others so please continue to dress your child in washable play clothes during our regular school days, especially this week...

Gifts of Kindness  Thank you for helping our class gift Baby Jesus with your children's kindness.  They are all very excited to use their kind and caring words and acts to help celebrate the Advent Season.

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be in January.  More information will be coming home through the folders in the upcoming weeks.

Christmas Show:  Our Show will begin at 8:45am on December 13, 2019 in the All Purpose Room of the Church.  Plan on it taking about an hour or so.  The routine will be very different for this special day.  All children should arrive by 8:40 directly to the Church. They will be dismissed right to you after our Show and light refreshments so you can spend the rest of your special day together with with your amazing little Preschool Performer!!  No backpacks or lunchboxes needed on that day.  Please have your child wear their Holiday best.   Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you may have.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We are so thankful for the amazing opportunity to teach your incredible little ones!  Thank you for sharing them with us here at St Therese School.

We will be hitting the ground running this week with so much to get done before Christmas!  We will be doing lots of practicing of our Christmas Show songs to get ready for our Show on December 13th.  If you hear some beautiful singing and humming at home, please encourage it even if it is about two red apples, five pumpkins or fat turkeys!

Wow, was painting and glittering our 3-D stars so much fun this week!!  Be sure to sneak a peek up at our "classroom sky" next time you are in the Learning Center.  We also made adorable Mangers which are on display in our classroom as well.  And don't forget to check out our houses on display in the hallway... you'll be impressed with the special surprises hidden behind their doors!!
