We were so busy making friends in school this week!
We celebrated our first birthday in PreK-3!
Happy Birthday to our sweet friend!
We learned about birthdays in our All About Me Unit too!
We LOVED Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!!!
And had sooooo much fun acting out the story with our own classroom "Tree"!!!
Then we worked on our own initial LETTERs!!!
(FYI: It's the first step in learning to read and write our names! shhhh... Don't tell your little scholar that they are learning while having so much fun!!)
Our Five Day Friends did such a nice job on their individual Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Trees!

Our FIRST Show and Tell was a HUGE HIT!!!
We were SO IMPRESSED with how beautifully everyone's Star Posters turned out! Great Job PreK-3 Families!!! We LOVE your Masterpieces!
And your little public speakers LOVED sharing them and learning about each other!
We are reaching new heights with our gross motor development in PreK-3 this year!
We really do "have a ball" playing on the playground!
And the sandbox... WOW! So much fun!!
Some may have complained about the heat this week but we LOVED our "COOL" Sunshiny School Days!
We loved gazing into the mirror and deciding what color hair and eyes we have...

Weekly Recap:
We had such a fun week learning all about ourselves as well as one another! We have been working hard on a special surprise that the children will be bringing home soon. Be sure to have your little author and illustrator share it with you (HINT, HINT!)!
The children all did such a wonderful job sharing their amazing Super Star Posters with one another! I can't wait to see their reactions when they see their posters on display in our classroom on Monday! Everyone did such a great job coming up with a poster as unique as their child!
We also had a blast reading and acting out one of our favorite books, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and learning about our names and initial letters!
A Sneak Peek at our Week Ahead:
This week we will begin our Letter of the Week curriculum with letter Aa. We will also be starting our STEAM Unit on The Five Senses and learning about Number 0! Be sure to ask your preschooler all about it!
This Week's Focus will be on:
Letter of the Week: Letter Aa
Numbers of the Month: 0 and 1
Color of the month: Yellow
Shape of the month: Circle
Themes: All About Me, Making Friends, Apples, The Five Senses
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals
"Aa" Show and Tell: Friday, September 15th- Please bring in something that has a Letter Aa on it or something that starts with the letter Aa sound. (examples: airplane, angel, photo of someone whose name starts with letter A, apple, astronaut, ape, alligator, ant, Auntie, arm, artist, avocado, alphabet, a book with the Letter A on the cover, etc. If you cannot find something at home, you can always print a picture of something to send in.)***PLEASE LABEL WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME***

October 27th (Friday) 🎃PreK MORNING Halloween Parade🎃: Families and Friends invited! Details coming home soon... Our Parade is separate from the Big School 10/31 AFTERNOON Parade. For those interested in attending, the STS Trunk or Treat is in the evening on 10/27 as well.
