Fall "Leaves" us all so happy!!
What an Exciting Week!! (Recap with the tons of photos below!)
A sneak peek at our upcoming week: We will be wrapping up our Five Senses Unit this week as well as learning Letter Ff. We will also be kick starting our November Themes this week!
🍂👻🎃Halloween: Our FIVE DAY FRIENDS can wear their costumes again on Halloween, Tuesday, 10/31. Please pack a complete change of clothes or have them wear their clothes under their costumes. We will be walking over to the Big School in the afternoon to watch the Big School Parade.
🎄🎅🌟CHRISTMAS🌟🎅🎄Please save the date! 🎄Our PreK Combined 3's and 4's Christmas Show🎄is confirmed for Friday, December 8th at 9:00am in the Main Gym. Details will be coming home through your child's folder in the upcoming weeks.
This Week's Focus will be on:
Letter of the Week: FfNumber of the Month: 3
Color of the Month: Brown
Shape of the Month: Square
November Themes: Signs of Fall, Counting 0-3, Sorting, AB Patterns, Thanksgiving, Families, Sharing
Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Thankfulness, "My Family Cares For Me" and "All Saints Day"
Show & Tell: On Friday, November 3rd, please bring in something that starts with the "F" sound (family photo, friend's photo, fox, frog, fish, fruit, fire truck, fire fighter, "funny" joke, etc.) to show and tell our friends about. If you have a hard time finding something, you can always send in a print out of a picture. The children really do look forward to sharing their items with one another!

CORRECTION: November 13th- NO SCHOOL- Veterans' Day (observed)
November 17th- 📷Class Picture Day (group shot) and Picture Retake Day- Wear your BEST SMILE!
November 20-21: PRESCHOOL will be in full session even though K-8 will have Noon Dismissals for conferences. Our PreK Conferences will take place in January.
November 22nd, Wednesday-🦃 NOON DISMISSAL- No After School Care- Thanksgiving Break
November 23rd and 24th- NO SCHOOL- Thanksgiving Break
December 8th 9:00am: Save the Date- 🎄PreK Combined 3's and 4's Christmas Show🎄
December 21st: NOON Dismissal (No After Care)
December 22nd-29th: NO SCHOOL - Christmas Break

We loved exploring our sense of touch while playing in our Sensory Bin!
Then the PUMPKIN SCIENCE began!!
Some of us thought our class pumpkin was heavy...
Others thought it was light...
My aching back at the end of this lesson begged to agree that it was SO HEAVY!!
Then we moved onto a Civics Lesson...
We had our first CLASS VOTE!
Right side up or upside down triangle eyes????
Circle or Triangle noses???
One tooth or two teeth???
There were so many items on the ballot!!
Then the great Dissection aka Pumpkin Carving BEGAN!!
AND THEN WE DUG RIGHT IN!!!!

Then we recorded our findings in our scientific journals aka our "What's Inside Our Pumpkin" books!
We also did an "egg-cellent" job on Letter e.
Our Five Day Friends did a "purr-fect" job on their black cats!
And they had so much fun playing Learning Board Games too!!
Using our Sense of Touch to guess what was inside our Feely Box was so cool!!
After reading Lucy's Picture we made our own Touch Art Collages!
We have become quite the MASTER BUILDERS in PreK-3!

Did your little spider scare you???
We LOVED learning about spiders and making our own too!
Our Five Day Friends continued their spider fun with making their own spider sculptures!
They came out SO COOL!!!
And now the grand finale... HALLOWEEN!!!!!
We started our morning with some fine motor practice aka Halloween Sticker Scenes!
Then the PARTY Began!!
There were crafts!
There were games!
Pin the Spider on the Web was so much fun!
We loved making our Monster Head Bands!
Toss Games were so much fun too!
There was DANCING!!
Skeleton Limbo was so COOL!
and we LOVED Candy Corn Bowling!
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our two AMAZING Room Moms!!
We had such a FUN Party!!!
Our Parade was so much fun!
The BIG KIDS in the BIG SCHOOL loved our costumes!
We got lots and lots of high fives!!
Our teachers loved getting in on all the fun too!!
