Breaking News:  Look who became a BIG SISTER for the second time!!  Congratulations to our sweet friend and her beautiful family!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be learning our LAST LETTER- Letter Zz, continuing to learn about The Life Cycle, flexing our GREEN THUMBS and learning some more about insects!!

🎓🏫PreK-3 Graduation - June 6, 2025:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation, "The Preschool Review" where we will take a trip down our PreK-3 Memory Lane singing a song or reciting a poem for each of the months we were in school!  Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:40 that morning and families will head to the Gym in the Main Building.  Our Performance will begin promptly at 10:00am and will be followed by light refreshments.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  Our Graduation will take approximately 60-90 minutes.  More details to follow.

Letter of the Week:  Letter Yy

Numbers of the Month: 9 and 10

Color of the Month:  Review of all Colors

Shape of the Month:  Review of all Shapes

STEAM Unit: Life Cycle
Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Seasons of SPRING and SUMMER, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Flowers and Insects, Life Cycle

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, "We Love Mary" and  "We Sing Our Prayers"

Show & Tell:   Friday, May 16th - Free Choice Week and our final Show and Tell in PreK-3!!!  😢

June 5th:  Last day of Preschool 😢

June 6th at 10:00am: 🎓PreK-3 Graduation!!🎓

Whoa did our caterpillars GROW!!!!!

We had so much fun making our own caterpillars!

They came out so cute (and hungry!!)

We LOVED making our special Mother's Day surprises for the greatest mommies EVER!!!

We learned all about the Life Cycle of a Dandelion!

Our little Botanists  had so much fun picking some from our Learning Center Greens!

(The lawn conditions were optimal for our lesson!!)

And then like true scientists, we had some fun blowing seeds and making wishes!!!

...before heading back inside for some more scientific discoveries!!

We loved using cubes to measure our dandelions!

And we loved working on our Scientific Journals too!!

We had so much fun learning Letter Yy!!

Our Artists loved visiting our Hallway Gallery!!

Our Five Day Friends continued to learn about frogs and their life cycle!!

And then we FOUND ONE on our playground!!!

We loved our trip to The Roxbury Public Library!!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our Librarian, Ms. Lynn, our two Security Officers, Lieutenant Rocco and Officer Feeney, The Roxbury Police Department and our incredible chaperones for making our first ever walking trip such a success!!!!  We could not have done it without all of your help!!

We loved painting our butterflies!!

And we started learning on our last season in our Seasons Unit!

Our scientists finished off the week the same way we started it -  making lots of observations!!!

Can't wait to see what Monday will bring!!
