We had so much fun learning about Firefighters this week! 

Weekly Recap:

We had a fun and very busy short week of school.  We learned so much from our Roxbury Fire Fighters!  We also had so much fun reviewing our letters and learning about spiders🕷🕸!

A Sneak Peek at our Upcoming Week:

This week we will be exploring all of our senses at our FALL FUN DAY!!! Please dress your little explorer for a full morning outdoors!  We will be working on our sense of touch (our final sense) and we will continue to review letters Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd as well as numbers 0, 1 and 2!

🥊❅☔Dd is for dressing for the weather!☔❅🥊

Dressing for the weather:  As the weather begins to get colder, please dress your child for outdoor play.  I recommend sending your child in a well fitting, warm hat as opposed to wearing a hood as their vision is obstructed with their hood when they run and play on the playground.  Layers are always a good idea as well as we will sometimes open our classroom windows (even with the heat on) throughout the upcoming months to better ventilate the classroom.  Having a sweater or sweatshirt over their outfits in addition to outerwear is always a good idea so they can peel them on and off if they get warm or chilly.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE label everything with your child's name!!  If you can't find a good spot, use a sharpie and write their name or initials on the washing instructions tag on the inside of the garment.

Shape of the Month: Triangle
October Units: The Five Senses, Season of Fall, Counting 0-2, Sorting, Halloween, Fire Safety & Community Helpers, Pumpkin Science

Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Helping and Caring for One Another

Show and Tell:  No show and tell this week due to the shortened week

Did our "Itsy Bitsy Spiders" SCARE YOU?!?!

Be sure to ask your little creepy crawler to tell you some cool spider facts and to sing you their spider song too!!

And we did so well coloring our firefighters too!

We learned that our Community Helpers are real life super heroes!!

We made some pretty cool fire trucks!

We also learned how important Fire Drills are!

A great BIG THANK YOU to our Roxbury Fire Fighters for teaching us about fire safety and for giving us our cool hats and goodie bags!!

Our Five Day Friends continued to learn about fire safety...

We loved rolling the Dice and counting flames!

We learned about growing in God's Love.

Cc review was so cool!

And we did so well on our Dd Phonics!

Dinosaur Puzzles were so fun to snap together!

We worked on Triangles and made a really cool triangle craft!
