Happy Birthday to our Special Friend!!

Full Day Fun!!

We did such a great job painting a pattern onto our Dr. Seuss Hats!

S is for Snake!

S is also for Seven!!

We started working a a special someone's beard!!

Seven is such a fun number to count and bead!!

Our Five Day Friends worked so hard this week!!

We LOVED learning about wind and even made some to blow our flower pin wheels!  

It was SSSSOOOO COOOOL!!!!

We put the finishing touches on our Goonies!  They are now on display in our Classroom Gallery!

We did so well with our name writing practice!

Our Special Helper now has a new job!

We had a Super Silly Special Guest Reader!!

His name is Hunter and he came to PreK to teach us all about Therapy Dogs.

A great BIG THANK YOU to Hunter, his mommy (Mrs. Henderson) and Canines for Christ for this special visit!

Silly Sock day was so much FUN!!!

We had so much fun with our Silly Sock Matches!  Ask your little Sock Sorting Specialist all about it!

(I think they might be ready to help you with your laundry sock matching now!!!)

What do you like to do in your silly socks?!?!

We like to have Silly Show and Tell in ours!!  And it was HILARIOUS!!!

We LOVED reading Dr Seuss stories this week!  He is a SUPER SILLY RHYMER!!!  Ask your little one to count how many S's Dr Seuss has in his name for you!!

We are doing so well with our new Rhyming Skills (which are so difficult at this age!!)

Mrs. Selser read us a supper silly mixed up color and animal storybook!! 

Our "Silly Dance Contest" was so much fun!!

We loved flying our kites around our classroom to the song

And LOVED watching their tails blow around in the wind outside too!!

Our Windy Races were SO MUCH FUN!!

Playtime with friends is the SILLIEST!!!

 Weekly Recap:  Ss was a blassssssst!  We LOVED our Silly Sock Day, learning Number Seven, reading Dr Seuss Stories, making our ssssss-snakes and finishing up our gooniesssssss!!!  We also had so much fun learning about windy weather with our WINDY RACES!!!  Be sure to ask your super silly little one all about it!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be wrapping up our Weather Unit and kicking off our new STEAM Unit on Transportation!  We will also be preparing for and celebrating St Patrick's Day, learning a new Fairy Tale and working on differentiating sizes this week.  We will also be reviewing all the letters we have learned so far Aa-Ss.  

This Week's Focus will be on:

Colors of the Months:  Green
Shapes of the Months: Oval

March Themes:   Counting 0-7, Graphing, Friendship, Transportation, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, St. Patrick's Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes, Differentiating Sizes, Easter and Signs of SPRING!

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, Good Deeds, Lent and Easter

Show & Tell:  Friday, March 17th:  Wear green to school and bring in something GREEN to show and tell our friends about.

Easter Hat Parade:  March 31st at 11:00:  Please see the notice that came home in your child's folder.  We can't wait to see what you come up with!!! 

Donations:  A great BIG THANK YOU to all the generous families who have donated tissues and baby wipes.  We really appreciate your help especially with allergy season already upon us!!

Dates to Remember: 

March 16th and/or March 17th: 🍀Wear your St Patrick's Day GREEN (Full Day Students: Baked Potato Lunch Fundraiser on 3/16 if interested)

March 31st:  🐰11:00am Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt

April 3rd:  Rain Date for Easter Hat Parade

April 6th:  NOON DISMISSAL- No After School Care

April 7th-16th: No School- Easter Break

April 17th:  🏫School Reopens

April 26th :  PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Combined Class Trip: Please respond to the email you received asap so we can get an accurate count of tickets needed.

Remaining Eighth Grade Tag Days for the Year:

            March 16: St. Patrick’s Day GREEN!

            April 21: Favorite Character (book, movie, or show)

            May 19: Red, White, and Blue

           TBD possibly June 9: Hawaiian (This one may change if our projected last day of school changes due to unused snow days.)
