Week of March 6, 2023


๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆRainbow Week was so much fun! ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ


Our Rainbow Dice Game was SO COOL!!!


We painted our letter kites our favorite rainbow colors!!
We are going to Blow You Away with what's to come next week!!




Our Rainbow Show and Tell was so colorful!








We loved coloring our rainbows in the right color order!
Ask your little artist to name all the colors... especially the last too colors!!


We helped our rainbow penguins match their scarves to their hats...




We were so excited for our Skittles Rainbow Experiment!




Be sure to ask your little scientist all about it!



Then we conducted our rainbow milk experiment!!




We made the most beautiful rainbow colors using dish soap!!!!

We continue to amaze our teachers with our thoughtful prayers.


Our Full Day Friends had so much fun doing Rainbow Yoga!



We celebrated Dr Seuss' Birthday on March 2nd with a fun Cat in the Hat  Letter Review Game!


Sensory Moon Rock play was so much fun!










Nothing beats a great tea party during Indoor Play Time!



Except maybe building with blocks!!!

They are now showering our classroom sky!





We did such a great job on our Rainbow Pots of Gold!


They are now on display in our classroom!




We loved Graphing our Favorite Rainbow Colors!

We used yellow and blue to paint our shamrocks!  Can you guess what color we created by mixing those two colors?!?!





They are now on display on our classroom fireplace!

This craft will also be a part of a surprise we are working on!


And it was a wonderful way to work on our fine motor skills!



R is for "Rabbit Foo Foo"


Ask your little character all about the pledge they took to never act like him!!

It's also part of a very special project we are working on!


We set the cloudy stage for our hand rainbows...

Weekly Recap:  We met our NAUTIEST Storybook Character YET!!  Ask your little story teller to tell you all about him!!  Rain, rainbows, Rabbit Foo Foo and rocket ships were all the rage this week!

March Themes:   Counting 0-7, Graphing, Friendship, Transportation, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, St. Patrick's Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes, Differentiating Sizes, Easter and Signs of SPRING!

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, Good Deeds, Lent and Easter

Show & Tell:  Friday, March 10th:  Silly Day in PreK! Wear your silliest socks and bring in something silly to SHOW and TELL our friends about.

Easter Hat Parade:  March 31st at 11:00:  Please see the notice that came home in your child's folder.  We can't wait to see what you come up with!!! 

Donations:  A great BIG THANK YOU to all the generous families who have donated tissues and baby wipes.  We really appreciate your help especially with allergy season already upon us!!

April 3rd:  Rain Date for Easter Hat Parade

April 6th:  NOON DISMISSAL- No After School Care
April 7th-16th: No School- Easter Break
April 17th:  ๐ŸซSchool Reopens

Late April/ Early May - Date TBD:  PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Combined Class Trip:  Details currently being worked on...  Information coming soon!!

Remaining Eighth Grade Tag Days for the Year:
            March 16: St. Patrick’s Day GREEN!
            April 21: Favorite Character (book, movie, or show)
            May 19: Red, White, and Blue
           TBD possibly June 9: Hawaiian (This one may change if our projected last day of school changes due to unused snow days.)
