Week of March 20, 2023

We certainly had a WACKY WEATHER WEEK this week with some snowy, rainy, icy, windy, sunny, cloudy, warm and cold days!!  It must have been Mother Nature's nod to PreK-3's Weather Unit Wrap Up!!  So we were lucky to have had both indoor and outdoor playtimes!!

We are SO LUCKY to have such a special PreK-3 class!  Just imagine... we spend all day looking at these amazing smiles!!

Our Five Day Friends worked so hard on their Lucky the Leprechaun Crafts!! And we LOVED the special book we read too!!

Cutting out our own leprechaun hats was so cool!!  It was the first time we had to cut around bends in the dotted line roads!!

We loved learning about another very naughty storybook character as we continued to work on our Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes Unit!! Be sure to ask your little literary analyst all about her!!  (hint, hint... She has golden hair!!)

And we had so much fun differentiating sizes... Ask your little one all about small, medium and big and which of the Three Bears used each of those sized items!!

We did so well sorting different sized shamrocks too!!

 

We wrapped up our STEAM Unit on Weather with our very own WEATHER BOOKS!  We hope you loved reading them as much as we loved making them!

We rolled right into our NEW STEAM UNIT on TRANSPORTATION and started learning about Cars and Traffic Lights!!  Ask your SUPER SPEEDY little one all about it!!

We really loved playing traffic light games, speeding around to traffic songs and inventing our own cars!!

We started working on a Special Spring Surprise!

And then it was St. Patrick's Day...

We added the finishing touches to our TRAP!!!!!!

THE TRAP WAS SET!!!!!!

  

and OUR HOPES WERE HIGH!!!!!

AND THEN WE SAW THIS ON FRIDAY!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS... WE WERE SO EXCITED!!!!

COULD IT BE?!?!  IS THAT A LEPRECHAUN HAT?!?!?!

Did our TRAP really work?!?!

THE SUSPENSE WAS TOO MUCH!!!!  

WE WARMED UP... STRETCHED AND PRACTICED OUR STARES!!!!!

And then...

ASK YOUR LITTLE MISCHIEF MAKER WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!!!!!!

We LOVED our GREEN Show and Tell!

Gold Coin Math Games were so much fun!

St Patrick's Day Patterns were pretty tricky!!

And our St. Patrick's Day Scissor Challenge was AMAZING!!!  Our scissor skills are coming along so nicely!!

We had so much fun dancing and singing along to our St. Patrick's Day songs too!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be continuing to work on Transportation, learning Letter Tt, looking for signs of Spring as well as working on our March Themes.

March Themes:   Counting 0-7, Graphing, Friendship, Transportation, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, St. Patrick's Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes, Differentiating Sizes, Easter and Signs of SPRING!

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, Good Deeds, Lent and Easter

Show & Tell:  Friday, March 24th:  FREE CHOICE WEEK: Bring in anything you'd like to show and tell our friends about.

April 6th:  NOON DISMISSAL- No After School Care

April 7th-16th: No School- Easter Break

April 17th:  🏫School Reopens

April 26th :  PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Combined Class Trip: Please return your invoice and payment as soon as possible so we can secure our date.

Remaining Eighth Grade Tag Days for the Year:

            April 21: Favorite Character (book, movie, or show)

            May 19: Red, White, and Blue

           TBD possibly June 9: Hawaiian (This one may change if our projected last day of school changes due to unused snow days.)
