🧁Happy Birthday to our Sweet Friend!🧁

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be learning all about Windy Weather as we Wrap up our Weather Unit!  We will also be finishing up Letter Rr, jump starting our Transportation Unit, Learning Letter Ss, receiving our Ashes on Wednesday, learning about Lent as well as reading lots and lots of Dr Seuss Stories as we celebrate Read Across America!  Don't forget your silly socks and silly show and tell on Friday!

🐇🐰Easter Hat Parade🐰🐇 - April 11th at 11:15am:  Easter is in April this year and so is our Annual PreK Easter Hat Celebration!  Time to get out the Peeps, plastic eggs, flowers, bunny ears and your hot glue gun!!  It's your time to shine in creating the most amazing Easter Hat with your little honey bunny!  You can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like.  I'm sure your little cutie will be proud to wear whatever you create together!  Please see the notice coming home soon in your child's folder for more details.  (I thought I'd give everyone an early heads-up since the dollar stores are already full of Easter items!)

March Themes:   Counting 0-7, Graphing, Friendship, Transportation, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, St. Patrick's Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes, Differentiating Sizes, Lent, Easter and Signs of SPRING!

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, Good Deeds, Lent and Easter

Show & Tell:  Friday, March 7th:  Ss is for Silly Day in PreK-3! Wear your silliest socks and bring in something silly to SHOW and TELL our friends about.

April 7th: 🖍Combined PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Family Field Trip to The Crayola Experience. 🖍(Please respond on the link that was emailed to your family. Thank you!)

April 11th: 🐇🐰PreK Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt 11:15 (Please see details that came home through your child's folder)

April 14th:  Rain/Snow date for Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt

 

April 17th: Noon Dismissal NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE

April 18th- April 25th: No School - Good Friday and Easter Break

April 28th: School Reopens

May 9th: Tentative Field Trip to 📚The Roxbury Public Library 📚(A Few Parent Volunteers may be needed to accompany our class.  Details coming home soon.)

A great BIG THANK YOU to Dr. Jenn for coming to school to teach us all about taking care of our teeth!!  We learned so much!

We "brushed up" on our number recognition skills by playing a fun roll and brush game!

We did so well on the Happy Tooth and Sad Tooth game!

Our Scholastic Booklet really taught us a lot too!

We learned all about brushing our teeth!

Our Toothpaste Taste Test was a BIG HIT!!

We loved making our tooth brushing puppet!

Be sure to ask your little dentist to sing you our toothbrushing song!!

Did your little literary analyst tell you all about how ROTTEN Rabbit Foo Foo was in the storybook?!?!  SOOOO Naughty!!!!

Our sweet friend found one of the other characters from the storybook in one of our classroom library books!!!  SO OBSERVANT!!!

Rain was all the rage all week!

We loved making our own umbrellas and counting our rain drops too!!

We had so much fun mixing white and black paint!

Can you guess what color we made?!?!

Hint, Hint:  It is the same color that rain clouds become right before it rains!!

Be sure to ask your little meteorologist all about it!!

Our Five Day Friends did so well sequencing our story!!

They loved making their own GOONIES too!!!

Our Five Day Friends LOVED Coding our Robots... 

They're called Bee Bots and they are soooo coool!!

Robot Dancing was so fun too!!

And so was Robot YOGA!!!

We made a special Rainbow Graph ahead of Rainbow Day!!

And then...

Rainbow Day in PreK was so much fun!!

Don't ask too many questions about this... It is going to be part of a masterpiece we are currently working on!

Our Pots of Gold are now on display around our Rainbow Color Graph!!

Our Roll a Rainbow Game was so much fun too!!

It was all SUNSHINE and RAINBOWS outside on Friday afternoon!!
