A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be learning Letter Qq!  Our Five Day Friends will be learning about two different kinds of arctic animals. We will also be learning about clouds and working on our Names, Counting and Patterning this week! 

🐇🐰Easter Hat Parade🐰🐇 - April 11th at 11:15am:  Easter is in April this year and so is our Annual PreK Easter Hat Celebration!  Time to get out the Peeps, plastic eggs, flowers, bunny ears and your hot glue gun!!  It's your time to shine in creating the most amazing Easter Hat with your little honey bunny!  You can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like.  I'm sure your little cutie will be proud to wear whatever you create together!  Please see the notice coming home soon in your child's folder for more details.  (I thought I'd give everyone an early heads-up since the dollar stores are already full of Easter items!)

February Themes:  Counting, Numbers 0-6, Sorting, AABB and ABCABC Patterns, Feelings, Winter, Weather, Camouflage, Name Recognition, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Calendar, Valentine's Day, Dental Health, Presidents' Day, Groundhog Day, Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, Praying for Others, "God is Love"

Show & Tell:  Friday, February 21st:  FREE CHOICE WEEK  Please bring in one item to Show and Tell  our friends about.

March 7th:  🧦S is for Silly Sock and Silly Show and Tell Day

April 7th: 🖍Combined PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Family Field Trip to The Crayola Experience. 🖍(Please respond on the link that was emailed to your family. Thank you!)

April 17th: Noon Dismissal NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE

April 18th- April 25th: No School - Good Friday and Easter Break

April 28th: School Reopens

May 9th: Tentative Field Trip to 📚The Roxbury Public Library 📚(A Few Parent Volunteers may be needed to accompany our class.  Details coming home soon.)

Peacocks start with Letter Pp!!!!

Ask your little zoologist to mimic the peacock sound for you!!

It was the first time we cut through a folded piece of paper!!

It was the first time we cute on on a curvy line too!!!

We are getting so good at writing our names!

We did so well on our AABB Patterns this week!!

Our Five Day Friends delivered THOUDANDS of Valentines this week!!

Be sure to ask them who the Valentines were for!!!

When we got back to our classroom, we made our very own Valentine Birds!

Can you guess what shape we used to make our birdie's body and wings?!?

Our Five Day Friends also loved solving Shadow Puzzles and doing Winter Yoga this week!!

We 💗 Playtime!

We did so well learning Number 6!!!

Be sure to ask your little mathematician to count their heart stickers for you!!

We loved learning about George Washington this week!!

Did you know he's on our Quarters?!?

And did you know that there are lots and lots of different images on the backs of our quarters?!?!

It was so cool to compare them!!

We loved making our own George Washingtons!!!

Ask your little historian to tell you about his hair!!

And be sure to have your little mathematician count how many cotton balls they used to make his hair on their craft!!

When we can't run around outside, we move around inside instead!!

Our Five Day Historians and Architects  loved learning about Abraham Lincoln and making his Log Cabin too!!

It was so fun!!

We loved using RED playdough to make 💗HEARTS💗!!!

Did you hear how much fun Valentine's Day was in PreK-3?!?!

We loved making our special Valentines Deliveries!!

We did so well on our Valentine's Day Graphs!!

Valentine Movement Games were so much fun!!!

Valentine Counting Games were so cool too!!

Our Valentine's Dance Party was AMAZING!!!

Valentine Hugs are the BEST!!
