Week of January 9, 2023

 

Celebrating Mrs. McDonald's Birthday was soooo much fun!!


She LOVED the Book we made her!


Our Birthday dance Party was a BLAST!


We JUMPED right into FUN this New Year!!


Our Five Day friends had so much fun celebrating "NOON" Year's!!
We learned 12:00 on our class clock!!


We made the coolest hats!!


We practiced counting down from 10!!!


And prepared our party horns!!


And then it was so exciting to count down to the "NOON" YEAR with our PreK-4 Friends!
A great BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Selser for sharing her fun family tradition with our PreK Program!  It is SURE to be a PreK Tradition too from now on!!


We started our Weather Unit and are practicing dressing our Weather Bear for the Weather!




We started learning about Hedgehogs as we embarked on our first Author Study of the year!  More details to follow...





We LOVED pretending to be hedgehogs and working our way to our burrows for the winter!



SHhhhh!!  Our Little Hedgehogs are Hibernating!!!

We Literally Hit the Ground RUNNING this week with our Lucky Spring weather surprise!!





We LOVED every minute of playing outside!!!


We learned about The Epiphany on Friday and drew a path for the Three Kings to make their way to Baby Jesus.


We Started the year off  Laughing with our LOL Show and Tell!
We had a Banana Phone!! LOL


A funny Gingerbread JOKE!!!  LOL


A dancing llama!!!  (She shook her little bottom and had us all cracking up!!) LOL


Super hero finger puppets!! LOL


A POTTY SNOWMAN!!!  SOOOO FUNNY!!!  LOL


A Karaoke Machine with "Encanto" songs!! LOL
 
And so many more funny presentations like Songs and Dances and hilarious video moments of your funny little ones!! 
One thing is for sure... We have some pretty funny families in our class!!
Thank you for helping us learn Letter L by starting our year off Laughing Out Loud!!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be continuing our Weather Unit, Mastering Letter Mm,  as well as working on Number 5 and our other January themes.  

❄❅❆⛄🥶Dress for the Weather: 🥶⛄❆❅❄ Please pack your child with a warm hat and mittens (or gloves if they can manage them independently) as we will continue to play outdoors if weather permits and we sometimes take Nature Walks outside to learn about trees, weather, seasons, etc.. I'm hoping to head out to take Winter Photos of our little munchkins on Monday since we are forecast to get a little snow.  PLEASE dress them appropriately!!

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on January 26th.  Please check your email for more information and the Sign Up Genius link to choose your time slot.  If you did not receive the link via email, please reach out to me asap so I can resend it.

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals, The Epiphany, Praying for Others

Show & Tell:  Friday, January 13th -  FREE CHOICE WEEK   Please have your child bring in ONE item to Show and Tell our friends about.    (I am so proud of how far all of the children's public speaking skills have developed!  It is so evident as they present their Show and Tell items.  Thank you for helping with the selection process at home and no worries if you forget.  We all forget every now and then.)
