Painting our 2's  was pretty cool!

First step in a multistep MONSTER-OUS Craft!

Our Mummies were so much fun to make!

They are now on display in our Learning Center Hallway Gallery!

(Look at their bottom right feet to find your little monster!)

Our Five Day Friends loved making their "Littlest Witches" who are "The Littlest Mummy's" new friends!

Be sure to count how many triangles we used to make them!

I hope your little puppeteer puts on a great show for you!

It was chilly out but we still managed to get some fun in the sun this week!

Please remember to pack hats and mittens in the children's backpacks.  We will be playing outside as long as it stays above freezing.

We worked on our sense of smell this week!  Be sure to ask your little sniffer all about it!!

We liked some smells better than others!!

We were SHOCKED that so many of our smell testers chose coffee as their favorite scent and garlic as their least favorite!!

Our Five Day Friends loved Learning Centers again this week!

Free Choice Show and Tell was a big hit!

We loved working on our shape of the month and making Jack-o-Lanterns with it!

BOO!!!

We did so well on our popsicle stick triangles!!

Our Egg Relays were so egg-citing!!

Weekly Recap:  We had such an exciting week learning Letter Ee and exploring our sense of smell.  Making and reading about mummies, monsters and jack-o-lanterns was so cool too!

A sneak peek at our upcoming week: We will be reviewing Letter Aa through Ee, working on the sense of touch, pumpkin science as well as HALLOWEEN and the rest of our October themes!  We are going to be so BUSY!!!

Flu Shots:  All of our PreK-3 children must have a flu shot this fall.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact our school nursing staff for more details.  Please supply the nurse's office with your vaccination record if you haven't already done so.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Religion: Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace before meals

Show and Tell:  Friday, October 28th:  On Friday, October 22nd, please bring in something orange or something Halloween themed to show and tell our friends about.   The children really do look forward to sharing their items with one another!  ALSO, PLEASE COME TO SCHOOL DRESSED  IN HALLOWEEN COLORS FOR AN 8th GRADE TAG DAY!  I can't wait to get a group photo that day!

Dates to Remember:

October 28th- Halloween Tag Day:  8th Grade School Wide Fundraiser- Wear your Halloween Colors!

October 31st- 🎃PreK MORNING Halloween Parade - 11:15am 🎃:  Details come home in the children's folders.  Our Parade is separate from the Big School's  AFTERNOON Parade. 

November 11th- NO SCHOOL- Veterans' Day

November 18th- 📷Class Picture Day (group shot) and Picture Retake Day- Wear your BEST SMILE!

November 21-22:  PRESCHOOL will be in full session even though K-8 will have Noon Dismissals for conferences.  Our PreK Conferences will take place in January.

November 22nd, Tuesday⚽⚾- 8th Grade Project Graduation Tag day- Sports Themed 

November 23rd, Wednesday-🦃 NOON DISMISSAL- No After School Care- Thanksgiving Break

November 24th and 25th- NO SCHOOL- Thanksgiving Break

December 9th: 9:00am (Snow Date December 12th) - Save the Date- 🎄PreK Combined Three and Four Year Old Classes Christmas Show🎄  Details coming home soon!
