More Indoor Playtime...

Our Full Week Friends worked so hard this week!

We loved helping the firefighter get ready!

We used cookie cutters with our playdough for the first time this week too!!

Our little legs walked soooooo far at the STS Walk-a-Thon!!
We helped raise funds for such great causes with all our hard work!

Weekly Recap and a Sneak Peek at Next Week:

We packed this short week of school full of learning fun with letter Dd, Dogs, Fall, Halloween, Firefighters, a Virtual Fire House Field Trip, The Walk-a-Thon, Singing and Dancing and so much more!  This upcoming week will be just as short and just as much fun!  We will continue to explore Letter Dd, Number 2, our Sense of Smell, the color orange, triangles, the Season of Fall and firefighters and fire safety.  Our PreK Fall Fun Day is 10/12 and our Roxbury Fire Fighter Visit is on 10/14!!!

Dressing for the weather:  As the weather begins to get colder, please dress your child for outdoor play.  I recommend sending your child in a well fitting, warm hat as opposed to wearing a hood as their vision is obstructed with their hood as they run and play on the playground.  Layers are always a good idea as well as we will continue to keep our classroom windows open (even with the heat on) throughout the upcoming months to better ventilate the classroom.  Having a sweater or sweatshirt over their outfits in addition to outerwear is always a good idea so they can peel them on and off if they get warm or chilly.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE label everything with your child's name!!  If you can't find a good spot, use a sharpie and write their name or initials on the washing instructions tag on the inside of the garment.

Emergency Clothing Bags:  If your child has had to dip into their supply, please send in additional items.  Now is also a good time to send in long sleeves and long pants for us to have in your child's bag in the event of an emergency change of clothes.

This Week's Focus will be on:

Letter of the Week: Letter Dd
Numbers of the Month:  2
Color of the month: Orange
Shape of the month: Triangle
