Weekly Recap:
We had such an AMAZING first full week in PreK-3!
Letter Aa, Number 0, All About Me, Show and Tell, Alligators, Apples, Sense of Taste: Apple Taste Test, Color Yellow and Same/Different were just some of the highlights! We loved dancing and singing "The Alligator Chomp" as well as our "Silly Dance Contests!"

This upcoming week promises to be just as much fun as we begin to explore The Season of Fall, Letter Bb, birthdays, our Sense of Sight, Number 1 and continue working on our apple activities!

"Bb" Show and Tell: Friday, September 19th- Please bring your Teddy Bear to school for Letter Bb fun! ***PLEASE LABEL WITH YOUR CHILD's NAME***
Dates to Remember:
September 19th: Wear gold or yellow for a school wide $1 (or any amount you would like to contribute) Tag Day to raise funds for the fight against Childhood Cancer. All donations will be in support of our STS 3rd Grader and former PreK-3 student, Erin McGaughran, and will be donated to the hospital where she is receiving her treatments - Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Thank you for your support in this very worthwhile cause. π

We continued to work on our "All About Me and Each Other" Unit!
We checked out our hair color and compared it to our friends'...
(ssssshhhh!!! Don't tell your little hair stylist that they were also working on their counting and fine motor skills!!!)

Our Five Day Friends had so much fun with our "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Tree games!
And our cube letters were SO COOL!!!
Aa is for Apple!!
Painting our apple leaves was so cool!!
We were so excited for our Apple Taste Test as we kicked off our Unit on The Five Senses!!!
We learned all about the parts of an apple, different types of apples, how and where they grow and most importantly... HOW THEY TASTE!!!!
Then we voted for our FAVORITE COLOR APPLE!!!
It was a SECRET BALLOT!!
We compared and discussed our results!

Then we made our own little a apples!!

Our Five Day Friends had so much fun with the storybook "Apples On Top!"
Be sure to ask them all about it!
Then we played a really fun sponge painting game!!
Our masterpieces are now on display on our classroom fireplace mantle!
Our Five Day Friends loved using our dot markers to "spot" all the letter A apples!!
Aa is for Acorns!!
After reading a really sweet storybook about an acorn, we used our fine motor skills to make really cool acorn hats!
They will soon be on display in our classroom gallery!
We used our PENCILS for the first time in PreK-3!!
Our Super Star Posters are INCREDIBLE and so our our little presenters' public speaking skills!!

We have some AMAZING dancers in our class this year!
We love playing in our classroom!
It was full speed ahead on our playground this week!!
