Week of April 24, 2022

 

Did you hear about our newest classroom additions?!?!

They have been so busy eating and eating and growing and growing!!

(Sound familiar?!?)

And we have been soooo busy observing!!!

And observing...

And observing...

THIS WAS THE PERFECT SHIRT FOR THIS WEEK!!!

(See if you can find ALL the butterfly life cycle stages on it!!)

We loved the fairy tale Jack and The Beanstalk and planted our own "magic" beans!

We also kicked off Earth Day by planting some grass seeds as well!!

They are now soaking up the sun in our classroom greenhouse (aka windowsill)!!

Ask your little environmentalist to tell you everything our seeds need to grow... especially the "magic ingredient!"

We loved learning about different ways we can help our World!

We learned about transportation that happens on Water!!

And under the Water too!! (For our Full Week Friends)

Our Sinking and Floating Experiments were so much fun!!

Our Scientists LOVED making and testing their PREDICTIONS!!

Making Sails for our Sailboats was so fun!

We used "wind" power to sail our sailboats across the water!

Painting our crosses with watercolors was so much fun too!

Did you know that our world is covered in lots and lots of water?

We loved making our "God Made the World" craft.

We also learned the God wants us to take care of the world and all its living creatures.

Learning Number 8 was Great!

We had so much fun making our own caterpillars!

Putting our finishing touches on our caterpillars was so cool!

We were so excited to bring them home on Friday!

Did you know that caterpillars hatch from butterfly eggs?!?

We loved painting butterfly eggs on our leaves!

Our Full Week Friends are keeping a Butterfly Growth Journal!

A Sneak Peek at Our Upcoming Week:  We will be continuing to work on our Life Cycle and Transportation Units as well as wrapping up Letter Ww and Learning Letter Xx.  Wednesday is our School Trip!!  Please visit The Liberty Science Center Website to check out their AMAZING and completely timely special exhibit!! 🦋🦋🦋

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, Easter, Lent, Good Deeds, "God made the Earth," Protecting God's Creatures, and "Taking Care of Our World"

Show & Tell:  Friday, April 28th:  FREE CHOICE WEEK!!  Please bring in ONE item to Show and Tell our friends about.  

Dates to Remember: 

April 26th :  PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Combined Class Trip

May 26th:  Noon Dismissal (No After School Care)

May 29th:  NO SCHOOL:  Memorial Day

June 5th:  Last Day of PreK

June 6th:  PreK-3 Graduation at 10:00am (more details to follow)

Remaining Eighth Grade Tag Days for the Year:

            May 19: Red, White, and Blue
