Meet Our New PreK-3 Additions!!!

They started out so tiny...

And then grew and grew...

AND GREW!!!!!

Our little scientists have been observing our little caterpillars growing right before their own eyes (and magnifying glasses too!)

We LOVED painting our crosses with WATERCOLORS!!!

We learned about Earth Day and different ways we can help protect our Earth.

Planting is a good way!!!

Ask your little conservationist to tell you what seeds NEED to grow!!

We made a reusable watering "can"... ask your little planter how we made it and how we are using it!!

We did a great job painting our 8's...

and our Earths too!

We glued our watercolor crosses onto our Earths,

And then glued on our handy continents!

To make our beautiful worlds!

They are now on loan in the Learning Center Hallway Gallery for all to admire!!!

We looked "up" to the sky to set up our stages for our last form of transportation!! 

Our Unicorn U's were pretty Unique!!

Can you guess what we learned about that flies "UP" in the sky?!?

WE LOVED PLAYING INSIDE!!!

AND WE LOVED PLAYING OUTSIDE TOO!!

Show and Tell Fridays continue to be a HUGE HIT!!!

We LOVED learning about opposites and especially loved going "UNDER our UMBRELLA!!"

And you thought Afternoon PreK was all FUN and Games.... You were wrong!!!!

It's LOTS OF FUN PAINTING TOO!!!!!

Ask your little afternoon artist to tell you what red and blue make!!!  (hint, hint...A MESS!!! lol)

 Weekly Recap:    We had a very Unique Week learning and playing in PreK-3!  We learned about letter Uu, learned to spell a very funny two letter word - ask your little speller to spell "UP" for you, we looked "UP" to the sky for our last two forms of transportation and learned about a very magical creature.  We also celebrated Earth Day by welcoming some adorable caterpillars to our classroom as well as planting seeds!!!  

A Sneak Peak at Our Upcoming Week:   We are looking forward to a wonderful week ahead as we explore letter Vv and talk about some of our very favorite people... our mommies!  We will also be wrapping up our Transportation  STEAM Unit!

PreK Summer Fun Week:  will take place the week of June 6th.  Details will be coming home through your child's folder soon.  Please note that we may have to switch some days around due to the weather so please be flexible with us.  As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.  Once you receive them, please return your permission slips as soon as possible.  

PreK-3 Graduation - June 13, 2022:  We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation! Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:40 that morning and families will head to the Gym in the Main Building.  Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration.  More details to follow.  I am thrilled that we will be allowed to have our graduation in person and on stage this year!!!

STEAM Units:  Transportation and  Life Cycle
Themes for the Month:  Counting, Graphing, Name Writing, Scissor Skills, Opposites, Rhyming, Seasons of SPRING and Summer, Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales, Mother's Day, Flowers and Insects

Religion:  Sign of the Cross, Simple Prayers, Grace Before Meals, Praying for someone you care about, "We Love Mary" and  "We Sing Our Prayers"

Show & Tell:   Friday, May 6th:   FREE CHOICE WEEK  Please bring in one thing that you would like to show and tell our friends about.

May 18th:  PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten Combined Class Trip

May 27th:  NOON DISMISSAL- Memorial Day Weekend - NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE

May 30th:  NO SCHOOL- Memorial Day

June 6th- June 10th:  Summer Fun Week in PreK  (Details coming home soon)

June 10th:  Last Day of PreK

June 13th:  PreK-3 Graduation 10:00am (details to follow)
