Our watermelon slices are drying in our classroom... when they come home on Monday, be sure to have your little taste tester count the seeds for you!
We loved using Water to conduct some cool sinking and floating experiments!!

Weekly Recap: What a Wonderful Week full of Wonderous Fun! I hope all of our amazing Moms and Grandmas have a well deserved wonderful Mother's Day! Thank you so much for all of your kind words and generous gifts this Teacher's Appreciation Week. Mrs. McDonald and I were truly overwhelmed by your kind gestures but it is we who feel appreciative for the incredible families and children who we are so blessed to work with. Thank YOU for all you do to support us!!
A Sneak Peak at Our Upcoming Week: X marks the spot this week! We are looking forward to some X-tra special x-traordinary learning fun! We will be wrapping up transportation and continuing our x-tensive study of bugs and flowers!! We will be working on things that will truly be bringing music to your ears too!! We can't wait to share all of our PreK x-periences with you!! Be sure to x-pect lots of XOXO's this week too!!!
Beach Themed Tag Day: Friday, May 14th - Please dress in your Summer Favorites! Remember to wear playground appropriate shoes and no bathing suits please. We will be participating in the Eighth Grade school wide contest for the best dressed class. The Eighth Graders will also be collecting for an amazing cause - Atlantic Health Women's Cancer Center, where Mrs. Reed beat her battle against breast cancer!! All the grade levels have different themes but ours is truly the best- SUMMER! YAY!! PreK-3 and PreK-4 will be participating together.
PreK Fun Week: will take place the week of May 24th. Please refer to the notice that went home through your child's folder on Friday. Also, for Super Hero Day, please use what you have at home. Anyone can be a super hero... front line works have been our SUPER Super Heroes through this pandemic! And princesses are also super... many of them certainly do have some super powers! Use your imaginations when preparing for our fun week! Also, please note that we may have to switch some days around due to the weather so please be flexible with us. There may be a chance that we may need to move our Luau to a nicer day- either Wednesday or Friday depending on the weather. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Please return your permission slips as soon as possible.
PreK-3 Graduation - June 11, 2012: We are in the process of planning our PreK-3 Graduation. As of right now, IT WILL BE IN PERSON!!!!!! Of course this is subject to change depending on State and Local Health Department protocols but we are planning on having a live and in person celebration! More information to follow but please mark your calendars. Our special celebration will start at 10:00am sharp in the STS Gym. Children will arrive in our classroom at 9:30 that morning and families will head to the Gym. Children will be dismissed to their families right after the celebration. We are still working out the number of guests allowed per student. Light refreshments will be provided to enjoy at an appropriate social distance. More details to follow. I am thrilled that we will be allowed to have our graduation this year!!!

Show & Tell: Friday, May 14th: SUMMER THEME Please dress for SUMMER and bring in one SUMMER thing that you would like to show and tell our friends about.
